Anyone Not Like Drinking?

On a side note, I’ve never met an angry, stoned person. Met plenty of angry drunks though.

IF that’s what does it for you.

I thought this thread was about not drinking/drinking choices. WTF is it with these acronyms?

SWIM hmmm…

SWIM See What I Mean?
SWIM System Wide Information Management?
SWIM Surface Water Improvement and Management?
SWIM Sea Water Instrumented Manikin?
SWIM Solar Wind Interplanetary Measurement?
SWIM Shallow Water Interim Model?
SWIM Southeast Unitarian Universalist Winter Institute in Miami?

Well, none of those make sense. Oh, I know, Someone Who Isn’t Me. How coy.

That would make for a very awkward sitution.

I usually drink every friday night, other than night nah, tough to workout the day after drinking.

Somehow my even at 268 lbs my alcohol tolerance is shitty haha so I always get a bucket of 5 millers, drink em quick, and I’m set for the night. Save some money and some extra cals.

How cute, you’re angry. Bet you pursed your lips together real hard while typing that. I also love how you googled acronym generator and put that in. I had a hunch, so I did the same and came up with these same acronyms.

It was a bad night, sorry.

I drink occasionally, my husband doesn’t drink at all and never has. He has no issue with my drinking and I have no issue with his lack of drinking. I rather like the fact that I never have to be the DD.

In my experience, the only people who ever have an issue with someone else’s drinking habits are those who have personal problems with alcohol.

Alcoholics don’t like people who choose not to drink because it makes them think about their own drinking and they get defensive.

Stuck up pricks don’t like people who drink because they’re just assholes who don’t like to see anybody having a good time.

If you’re a well rounded, sane person, you just shouldn’t give a shit about whether or not somebody else has a beer after work or on the weekends.

I hate drinking during training and I only do it when I have a day to recover, and that’s maybe a beer or two max.

I’ll only drink on off weeks, needless to say, drinking rarely keeps my tolerance low, so my bottle of black label stoli lasts a long time.

Water, milk, & coffee, can’t go wrong.

Drinking alcohol, like 4+ beers range, slows metabolism right? Your liver has to work overtime to clear your body of the toxins so things like protein synthesis are slowed? SWIM just noticed that after a night of drinking, the next day they feel no hunger at all and sluggish (even without a hangover), and they have to force themselves to eat in order to get enough calories.

SWIM will usually go do something intensive like sprints early in the day in order to tryout a theory that they can “jump-start” metabolism.

Are you afraid to admit you drink or something? The only time I’ve ever seen someone use “SWIM” on this forum is in regards to steroid use.

I like alcohol, maybe too much, and with a history of alcoholism I’ve been smart enough to know that I really just can’t let myself drink.

I have no problem abstaining, but on the rare occasion that I do drink, my body wants a lot of it, and at a rapid pace.

I never get stupid piss drunk though, never blacked out or anything, I just get good and drunk, luckily im a happy drunk at least.

I’m just going to have to keep it to New Years, St.Patricks day, and the occasional wedding.

I know everyone is going to call bullshit, but I have actually had really great workouts while hungover. Mostly conditioning type workouts liek running, or jump rope, but once I did that Bas Rutten workout one while hungover. It felt really good. I think it has to do with knowing that you are getting all the toxins and shit out of your system.

Haha aw thanks man, you’re confidence in me is reassuring. Call me paranoid, but I just know that anything said on the internet is there forever. Shit, look at everything Dante goes through because of little things he said decades back. But whateva

I drank when i was 12-15. Then when i was 15 i decided it was not for me. I realised that having fun is a mind set. I created a mind set where i can have fun. It also helps massively with my training.

I remember windows ME. Do you?

I used to drink a while ago, at the clubs and bars with friends. But I don’t any more since I starting training seriously. While friends are getting wasted this Friday night I’ll be sucking down a shake.
