Drinking 3 cups of black coffee a day (1cup=250ml?) would be efficient to decrease levels of liver enzymes, protect against devepment of fibrosis and carcenoma etc. 5-6 cups per day would give even a more profitable benefit. Here are some scientific links. There are tons of them and it’s inevitable that coffee is your liver’s best friend.
Coffee enemas are useful for cleaning out your liver as well. Hey if you are already sticking something in your ass might as well stick something up it too? There are also coffee suppositories that are supposed to provide liver support and aid in liver detox.
getcutgetbutt: Ok thanks for that childish comment - appreciate it. The reason I registered here in t-nation last year was that I found this forum to be the most mature of the forums to be found. You are not the first to give me a silly answer to a proper question.
Do you take then milkthistle? Is that an american thing to do? I assume it is a flower/herb, havent read much about it. Or other supplements which are made from herbs and antioxidants and stuff like that; LiverSupport etc.?
flipcollar: 3 will do the thing also. 5-6 cups if one cup is the 2dl maybe 2,5dl which is not much. Same as 1 caffeine pill. 2cups in the morning, 1 after lunch, 1-2 after dinner. That makes 5 cups. Im from Finland. I presume we are the heaviest coffee consumers in the world per capita. And depends on ones physiology. It’s a mild stimulant. Some are very sensitive to it. Some can’t get sleep without drinking a cup before going to bed. Still, don’t overdo it.
But the question was if anybody has been doing this in preventing possible oral aas induced damage?
i understand the question. my point is that steroid users are susceptible to liver damage AND heart issues. so if the coffee benefits the liver but damages the heart, then that’s a problem.
probably varies from person to person. I just figured it was worth mentioning. I know that, given my bloodwork and blood pressure in general, i’m more susceptible to, say, high blood pressure than I am to elevated lipid values. so i have to do what makes sense for me.
Isnt coffee also good for blood lipids? This I must check.
Here’s from ncbi checked: Unfiltered coffee increased circulating LDL cholesterol and triglycerides concentrations, but filtered coffee had no substantial effects on blood lipids. In summary, for most healthy people, moderate coffee consumption is unlikely to adversely affect cardiovascular health.
“They bring together evidence from over 200 studies and find that drinking three to four cups of coffee a day is associated with a lower risk of death and getting heart disease compared with drinking no coffee. Coffee drinking is also associated with lower risk of some cancers, diabetes, liver disease and dementia.”
Are you butt hurt by my joke? (Pun intended). I feel like you got very offended by that comment when that wasn’t my main point. The main point was yes coffee is very good for your liver. And coffee enemas are VERY effective. I would like to see someone running an oral steroid get BW done, have poor liver enzymes then do consistent coffee enemas for the rest of the cycle and check bloods again. Sadly there aren’t test results like that out there. Or at least none I can find.
Yes milk thistle is an herb and is good for your liver. I believe herbs defiantly have their place when it comes to supporting the liver through a cycle with orals.
Sorry didnt understand your pun. Maybe there was a language barrier =) Mostly I stick in my thighs =P But why enemas? Why just not drink the coffee? I mean drinking it would be more practical even if your mentioned enemas were very effective…
So do you drink coffee in term to prevent possible liver damage?
I actually know a lot about this subject and can go into more depth if need be. To put it simply, if you drink the coffee, it goes through your digestive system. This mixes with saliva, stomach acid, digestive enzymes, ext. If you put it in the rectum, it avoids the digestive system completely and is at its highest chemical concentration. All of the good nutrients, vitamins, and minerals get quickly absorbed in the colon and then filtered by the liver. The liver basically becomes a “coffee filter” which prompts the liver to detox its toxins.
Xeneplex makes coffee suppositories which are much cleaner than coffee enemas and do roughly the same thing. The glutathione is absorbed aiding in the detoxifying of the liver. Liver detoxifying is the way to lower liver enzymes.
Thanks for the info because have never hurt from them. And because rectal administration is not the most usual way to get stuff in you xD Unless it is a baby and tylenol.
So I can assume you’re using these enemas and they work with orals, you’ve bloodwork done and shit?
Anybody else detoxes liver with coffee when on orals?
I have used them for other health reasons to do with the liver not detoxing but not because of orals. It would still work the same though in my opinion. I don’t know why people don’t use them when on orals. Maybe for lack of knowledge? Maybe because the actual act isn’t very pleasant? Either way they work. Point blank. If you are planning on running orals, I would HIGHLY recommended you trying these while on cycle.
I’ve been more addressing the detoxing of the liver and reduction in liver enzymes vs the articles you posted talking about all around health. Don’t know which you are after but there are plenty of ways to detox the liver that are not being used. Castor oil packs is another tool in the shed.
Are you into butt stuff in general, hence your username? Not making fun, just curious.
A coffee enema would be like injecting me with speed!! I’d go fooking haywire on that!! I’m very sensitive to caffeine though (and haven’t had caffeine in a while).
Lol. That made me laugh. I’m not gay FYI. And even less into the actually enema part of the coffee enema. You get slightly more used to it but let’s be real, you are sticking a hose in your but to squirt stuff inside you. It’s not going to be pleasant. But if it works it works right?
seems so =P but from let’s continue with the other body part, liver, although I’m really fond of wide waists and curvy butts, in women =D anyway i use coffee instead of these other marketing shit. I mean some of them can be useful but for example the famous milk thistle hasn’t really proved its efficiency in studies. Correct me if I’m wrong!
What other liver support products do you recommend/use in which you believe and which are effective due to studies?
