Am most curious about free lancers and how they got into it.
I’d like to write a book myself - social commentary, satire - but have been side tracked with a few other projects so far.

Im a self-proclaimed literary genious. I want to do a social commentary about life as a gym rat. And about how its little reward for alot of sacrifice. But I got more pressing issues at the moment. I just want to speak up about all the people out there like myself who put in more hours in the gym then anyone else and see minimal gains, but still keep at it.

I’m not giving you a Guinea Pig, I already let you borrow my hamster and now it smells like shit.
I’m a freelancer fulltime, and I write fiction as a hobby.
How I got into it? I decided it was what I wanted to do, and I started writing. I started off writing things for little pay, and I started a blog. Blogs are good for both practice and to show potential employers your skills.
I kept applying to jobs, and as my experience grew, so did the jobs.
When you say you want to write a book, do you mean a book that will be traditionally published? It’s a little different working towards that goal…
Feel free to ask any q’s.
I write a lot of poetry.

Sounds like you don’t traditionally publish your fiction, do you post it online or something? Are you able to make money from non-traditional methods or is the fiction just for fun?
I have several great (i think…) ideas for short stories but I don’t really have the confidence to write it and search for a publisher. Now if I was able to post it online (or similar) I would be interested…
Thanks.

Your self-proclamation is quite weak if you can’t spell the word ‘genius’ correctly.

Ha.
Recreational.
I like to write screenplays. Gives freedom to write the action without worrying about describing thoughts or feelings.
I’m actually editing one of my screenplays that actually got shot. I’m new to this part, so it’s taking me a while, but I’m really enjoying it.
