I just had a long-term wart disappear after taking some homeopathic pellets that my friend gave me. I tried everything before, freezing , burning, cutting the bastard out. So those pellets were like a miracle drug to me. THe bastard hasn’t come back. My question is, could the same type of thing work for my allergies and my asmatha. I’ve ahd those for my whole life and its a pain to take my inhaler everywhere and allergy medecine always makes me sleepy. Is there anyone here that knows anything about homeopathy that could help?
I’m not a ‘buff’ but I’m relatively familiar with how homeopathy functions and what it can and cannot do. That said, it is quite possible that you could achieve some measure of relief from your symptoms/problems via homeopathic methods. Even better would be see a holistic nutritionist (as opposed to the FDA lovin’ kind) who could examine your lifestyle/diet/environment/etc and may be able to recognize things that are causing problems that you’ve never thought of. I’m biased, since i’m related to one, but I think it could be a worthwhile exploration.
According to the theory it would. I would be interested also on any experiences people have had with Homeopothy.
I’m a firm believer in homeopathics! I was having a very uncomfortable time with what I, and my Doctor, thought was your usual middle-age enlarged prostate. But was diagnosed differently by thru a homeopathic practitioner! He said the prostate was inflamed due to a virus. He gave me several bottles of homeopathics. In a day and a half all pain was gone - and the other “no fun” elements of prostate trouble were gone also.
With BB supplements at least, homeopathy has always been considered a joke. Nothing but placebo effect.
Interesting, tablets? My grandfather was a Wart Charmer. He would have you tie a string around your finger and then every morning and evening you were to put a drop of Castor Oil on the wart. When the string wore of the wart would be gone.
Best of Luck.
ive used poisin ivy pills when i got PI really bad and suprising in three days it was gone.
pugs
Homeopathy is bunk! If someone improves on homeopathics it is pure placebo or pure coincidence. Did you know that a stronger potentcy in homeopathic terms means diluted more? That means the more times you weaken the substance, the stronger it gets. 20/20 did an expose on homeopathy and found that a homeopathic “substance” that was supposed to be a cure for insomnia contained nothing but water and alcohol. No original molecules were found! When your wart comes back I’d reccomend you going to see a pediatrist.
Warts are somtimes self limiting. I wouldn’t put too much faith in the cure until it has been shown repeatable.
Gabe, I don’t see how you can make a blanket statement like that about homeopathic medicine. Just because 20/20 did a show on the charlatans of that industry doesn’t make all homeopathic remedies bunk. By your rational, everything Biotest sells is just as crappy and worthless as all other BB supplements out there. I’m not saying any homeopathic remedy will do exactly what it claims to do, but things like herbs and roots have been used for thousands of years to cure all sorts of ailments. You should check it out.
Homeopathy is bullshit. Warts respond to placebo treatment as well as go away over time in some cases. Do some fucking research, you moron.
Most people think that if homeopathy works, it’s due to a placebo effect. After all, Gabe, you’re absolutely correct when you state that, under a microscope, a homeopathic substance is simply water and sugar. It certainly appears to be a simple sugar pill. But, why then would homeopathic substances work on animals, infants and coma victims? (which they clearly do) This question is what has most modern scientists baffled. Fortunately, a small portion of mankind has graduated from kindergarden science. According to research done by eminent quantum physicist Michael Wilkerson, homeopathic substances work due to an increase in wave function. This means that the more a particular substance, let’s say arsenic, is diluted, the more the movement of the subatomic particles speeds up. This is why substances become more powerful with each additional dilution. Now this certainly doesn’t mean that BB substances can be homeopathically prepared. The reason being is that the substances elicit a healing effect, not a supplemental one. If you become poisoned with mercury, you can take homeopathic mercury and all of the retained mercury will be expelled from your body. So, clearly, a homeopathic GH or D-bol will have, if anything, a negative effect. Homeopathic supps are just a way for cons to get “real Growth Hormone” out on the market.
So now you have all the fucking research you need. By the way Mike, I believe there are homeopathic substances for small penis syndrome.
Michael- my advice to you is to find a homeopathic doc. Asmatha and allergies can take several different forms. A homeopathic doc will try to find out which med is best for you.
So you could make homeopathic DHT to get rid of the DHT in my body? Or homeopathic estrogen to get rid of that?
Well, that might be a possibility- especially if the DHT or estrogen levels are high. Nothing like that, to my knowledge, has been done. Traditionally, homeopathic remedies are derived from plant poisons, mineral poisons or animal poisons (like snake venom.) I’m somewhat sceptical that a proper estrogen or DHT remedy could be made, but it certainly is a possibility. After all, if the remedies can cure asthma and allergies, (as well as depression, anxiety, OCD, IBS,) then they could certainly help restore hormonal balance.
It’s a bunch of Bullshit. I am sorry, but if you have high blood pressure taking drops with .00000000000000001% heart chunks in them WONT HELP. SCAM! Yes, the whole theory is using medicines with the same tissues (ie:Homo=Same) in them will cure you. And they dilute everything until it is basically nothing. NO science whatsoever NONE!
Please present SOME evidence to support what you’re saying. Saying that there is evidence out there done by blah, blah, blah is NOT presenting evidence. You’ve made very bold claims about homeopathy which are contrary to the established patterns and treatments of common diseases most of which we already know the underlying pathophysiology of. Present a mechanism, present a research study. Just do something other than spout pseudointellectual BS.
Don’t vaccines have their origin from homeopathy?
Well, there was actually a study done by the Lancet (Great Britian’s version of JAMA) showed that homeopathic medicines were 66 percent more effective than placebos. Most conventional meds don’t even have that good of a record. There is also a great book by Bill Gray called “Homeopathy: Science or Myth?” which is chock full of research. Gray is a Stanford trained physician who, not only presents clinical evidence in his book, but also presents an electrochemical mechanism for homeopathy, based on recent research done in quantum electrochemistry.
In Europe (where health is significantly greater than the states) homeopathy is anything but an alternative medicine. Did you know that in Europe 40% of the health care is provided by homeopaths? In fact, the British Royal family has an in-house (or in-castle) homeopathic doctor.
JW, it certainly seems to not make any sense that a substance, diluted to the point of having no molecules, could be effective. But what is matter anyways, but slowed down energy? The more one dilutes, the more energetic the medicine becomes. That’s just the way electrons work.
DocT, does it occur to you that western science and medicine really does not accomplish very much in the way of curing disease? They are fantastic at triage, give em a symptom and they’ll find a way to mask it (although you may get diarhea, headaches, bloody urine, and premature ejaculation - at least you don’t have heartburn symptoms!) Homeopathy and Eastern medicine in general has a much greater conception of the body as a whole of interlocking parts, on a macroscopic level all the way down to the tiniest energy fields. I know this is very hard to grasp, especially since you seem very attached to empirical evidence which originated and has been recorded in english language, but hindu physicists and doctors have maintained concepts for the past couple thousand years which only now western scientists are basically saying “holy crap, they were right.” I would love to present you with clear mechanisms and mindblowing research, but thats not an area that I’m fit to spout off about. I can tell you this, it works - just because YOU don’t believe it doesn’t make it a bad treatment. Of course much like supplements and other substances, finding “quality” is a whole other issue, but it doesn’t mean the concept and well-produced homeopathics are a dysfunctional method of healing.
