Anna's Training Log Part 2 (Part 1)

I am honestly getting a real “The Sun Also Rises” vibe at this point

I am certainly feeling that way rn- honestly, I just want to lay down and spoon a jar of pb

I genuinely don’t understand why you equate this with deviancy when it is, in fact, what you should be doing. The only thing that prevents me from it is allergies. Prior to developing them, it was a regular habit of mine.

It’s not the action, it’s the fact that I could easily finish the jar and will regret it immediately after

Why regret doing the thing that helps you reach your goals?

Damn good lifts.

Really? Sounds too good to be true :joy:

My question wasn’t rhetorical. I apologize if it came across that way.

Meh :pensive:

Honestly, idk. Now I know how the people who struggle to loose weight feel.
Based on today, I’m going to commit to gaining

I’ve already stopped program hopping and quit doing conditioning on lifting days, so this will be the next step

You won’t be tempted to eat whole jars of pb or lose control generally if you’re eating enough to support your body.

I’ve found that the temptation/ incidences of “loosing control” have cut down dramatically.

As for PB, that’s more of a metaphor at this point  My digestive system is very unhappy right now  idk if I could handle a tablespoon, much less the jar

What happened on your first attempt at it? If you lifted it you lifted it. May not have counted in a meet but means the strength is there.

So instead of following my advice of doing 2.5% jumps, or 5% at a push, you went for a 10% jump? And wonder why it failed? :man_facepalming: Ill remind you we already discussed why attempting a failed weight 3 times is a bad idea.

You’ll have to gain weight in my opinion. And let yourself recover from the heavy training you do, which means a lot less conditioning.

Do those things and you have every chance. Don’t do them and you are spinning your wheels and will remain plateaued.

My lowest plates are 2.5kg, so not much of a choice there…
We’re getting 1.25s in two weeks

Sigh… :pensive:

Should I take next week easy or can I just jump into the new cycle Monday

I’m not saying you have to stop doing conditioning. I’m saying you need to really decide what your goals are. if it’s a healthier body and/or adding weight to your powerlifts, then you should.

If your goal, rightly or wrongly, is to stay as lean as possible as long as possible to the detriment of your progress and health, then carry on as you wish. Your choice.

Well strictly it depends how you feel.

For you I feel like it makes little difference. If you take the weights easy, you’ll eat less and do more conditioning, which is just as counterproductive as training when you shouldn’t.

The lesser evil will probably be keep calories high and train new block.

I can not accept that.

Congratulations are in order. You have to celebrate in sufficient quantity as to be proportional to the success, which is about 90something percent. Probably 98 or so.

I know you feel otherwise, but I feel congratulations are in order. Those are damn good lifts and you should be proud of them.
