Just for fun, dear Anna

YES!!! Chinese people will eat ANYTHING semi edible- including “century eggs” basically eggs marinated in heavy metals. You actually have to buy “ lead free” ones

I sometimes mull over how certain foods became a thing. Especially gross foods. Such as fermented fish (a thing here) or rotten shark (Iceland). I’ve come to learn it had less to do with hunger and being in a situation wherein you’d die if you didn’t eat so you might as well risk it and more to do with social identity, i. e. “we are the people that eat this and those people over there are other people because they don’t”.

Usually starvation in the beginning: Century eggs were “invented” because a starving farmer in the ming dynasty (actually from my Dad’s home province)found some eggs in quicklime, tried them, didn’t die and found them delicious
Stinky tofu- rotten, literally moldy tofu, is better than starvation

I LOVE fermented fish!!!

Which end do you eat your eggs from first?

Tomorrow is a little late to do that much, need time to load up really so today was where you should have put in the work. Good carb load at breakfast s you know, keep salt up through the day. Sweet and salty popcorn is still my pre lift go-to for PBs, salty chips will work if you prefer them.

Unfortunately this includes raw and cooked bats, which carry coronovirus. That turned out well :man_shrugging::man_facepalming:

So eating normally normally should be good right? I shouldn’t need to adjust actual amount right?

Bats are more of an Indonesian thing  they’re not enough of them and the most delicious ones aren’t considered invasive species yet ( another criteria for being a Chinese delicacy)

Maybe not your “normal”
The definition of normal change a lot from person to person or place to place and in time.

Can you explain what you mean by “eating normally”?

Hey @anna_5588 unless I’m confused (always a good chance) tomorrow you’re going for a big pull?

If so, good luck. I’ll be “pulling” for you. Lotsa heart emoji.

I had to get that one in early because I’ll probably be sleeping in tomorrow.

Lol what part of what I wrote was eating normally? No, you want to eat less veggies than normal, more salt than normal, and more carbs than normal earlier in the day.

@Pinkylifting @EmilyQ @Voxel @SkyzykS
Deadlift: 120, failed 2nd attempt at it   - very ugly and dropped, so probably wouldn’t even have counted in meet conditions- 110 went up really smooth
Still pretty disappointed because I only have 3 more months to put on 15kg in order to reach my goal, at least I’m back at baseline

Bench: 55kg with a lot left in the tank- failed 60kg 3 times :sob::sob::triumph: I really thought I would hit it today. I’ll probably try it again in the afternoon

I don’t even want to test my squat

Just do your best, and more importantly, enjoy your process. Best video ever (except the others I’ve said that about):

At this point, that’s the only reason I bother to train. I’ve literally been plateaued for 2 years

I think your strength gains will be made in the kitchen, and you’re working on that. Give it time and more food. The plateau will give if you do.
