Don’t lose sight of the other part of that prescription. The stack of Ritz crackers is to get you enough carbs to give your body an alternative fuel source.
also likely to creat the need to call in a plumber and maybe a hazmat team to get rid of the smell ![]()

I’m finding that sugar pre- bed (chocolate or honey) helps with sleep and feeling good in the morning, but it’s prob not the best for metabolic health @Voxel
I don’t even know what metabolic health is but if there is such a thing missing out on sleep would surely be worse for it than those two!
Week 26: day 5 (yesterday)
am
Swings: 12x(10-45lbs+20-25lbs)
4x every 90 sec (7 push-ups+7cleans+7 squats+7 press)- 20 lb dbs
Db press: 1x6/side 37lbs
Pm
For time: 25 dB manmaker- 20lb dbs- 4:50
- felt good waking up so decided to have some fun. Was going to do 16 rounds of the swings and call it a day, but a callus tore and more swings => bloody hands so I quit, manmakers technically a pr but considering I usually do them after hundreds of reps of press, it’s not really a pr
Week 26 day 6
Shrimp squat: 3x8/side-45lbs, 5x(13/side-25lbs + 12 steps of death march-20lbs)
Max goblet squats in 4 min: 106 w/the 25lb kB
- strangely buzzy this morning- hr up, traps and upper back sore so skipped the weighted walk I’d planned to do, very happy w/shrimp squats, felt good and slowed the pace, the goblet squats at the end were killer and fun
Btw, this is what I’m taking about when I say my Lowe body is very average
I don’t even look like I lift lol
Women lose their periods because of excessive stress. Your body does not keep track of how “fat” or “skinny” you are and magically say, “Okay, we’re precisely X% bodyfat or Y lbs. Time to menstruate!” In your case, these chief stressors include self-induced starvation and excessive exercise, on top of whatever hormonal medication you take and more typical young adult stuff. Others lose their period because of insufficient sleep, overwhelming life circumstances, illness, etc or a combination of all these.
Your body thinks it is dying. For you to alleviate stress, you must address your relationship with food, body image, and caloric expenditure. This indeed will require eating more and exercising less. There is no way to predict exactly which circumstances will be “enough” to at the very least restore menses. That can be terrifying for someone like you who uses disordered eating as a way to assert self-control. I think this is something you should bring up with your therapist and/or doctor.
My repeating of this seems to have no effect on you. However, I still feel compelled because let’s face it: you are posting on a forum dominated by men. As a result I think the perils of lacking your period are understated. While other posters have already pointed out dozens of times that you are killing yourself, which should undeniably be addressed first, your fervor toward getting stronger not should but must be redirected toward restoring menses. Even if you followed everyone’s advice here, you would not be a couple months away from doing so. The longer you delay this, the longer and more difficult the road will be for hormonal recovery.
I think you understand the biological consequences of this, so I will not review. Instead you need to address why you choose to ignore it every time I give this spiel.
I don’t know. I only have dinner with them once a week and she cooks normal food when we’re there. The rest of the week she ate nothing but brown rice and some other stuff from what my dad told me that I can’t recall.
I’ll tell you exactly what kind of person she is and you’re all gonna find this behaviour familiar:
She asks me how to gain weight. I say something along the lines of “eat more than what you’re eating now and add some lean meat”.
The next day, she makes my dad take her to an expensive “holistic nutritionist” who gives her some kind of complicated diet. But at least it wasn’t horrible. Probably told her to do Starting Strength too.
Shit, I hate brown rice.
If only they were that intelligent. One of the quacks my mom went to claimed that trap muscles caused neck pain in women ![]()
I seriously think Chinese people are getting fucked on both ends when it comes to things like these today. We now have both Western trends from charlatans like this and Eastern frauds like fengshui masters,
Some fun
(8 thrusters/side+16 alt lunges+7 thrusters/side+14 alt lunges+…1 thruster/side+2 alt lunges)-32lbs
- really intense and didn’t feel good afterwards- very jumpy and a bit lightheaded
Add growing disposable incomes to fuel the beast
But Xi Jinping says Chinese people save all their money for their weddings and shit(which was kinda true when we gave our parents their monthly payments and they didn’t need it). That’s why they didn’t have to give anyone in China any handouts despite locking them down lol.
That’s right, folks. A “socialist” country did not give it’s citizens any money while preventing them from making money. I think I wrote this in another thread. The world is nuts.
The one fucking time where the State had explicitly undertaken the duty to provide for it’s people by shutting businesses down and preventing workers from working and they didn’t do it. Where’s the “socialism”? Don’t believe everything you read in the news.
Why? What is the goal here? People are concerned
There is absolutely no way you should be doing 2-a-days, 6 days per week on a pathetic diet with severe health concerns.
I need to stop reading this
As someone with self-destructive tendencies, I completely understand. The only real frustrating part of the log is the lack of ADMITTING that this is self-destruction. Operating under the guise that it’s improvement seeking is a lack of self-honesty.
It’s much to do with having disordered eating. I’m willing to say eating disorder. It’s frustrating to the majority of y’all, but I went through this (albeit to a severe degree) and I can follow her logic to the T almost, because I too used to think that way.
If you decide to ever delve into understanding such things, the admittance part is heavily shrouded in seeking that “perfect self”.
In the grand scheme of things, yes it’s destructive, but repeatedly saying it doesn’t do much by way of getting her to respond in such a way that isn’t frustrating. I’m pretty sure she’s aware that aspects of what she’s doing is destructive. It’s goes much deeper than that though.
Fully understand the logic: only stating what makes it frustrating. I’ve commented previously on how a lack internal honesty results in lack of external honesty.
Alright
The best way to describe my headspace is like an obese person trying to lose weight. They know they need to stop eating McDonald’s and exercise, but when 7pm rolls around, they’re craving fries and are glued to the couch
@kdjohn going to start the program tomorrow- any good suggestions for warmup?
Get your shoulders and upper back nice and loose (stuff like band/broomstick shoulder dislocations, arm circles, halos, scapular push-ups, bretzels, etc), and open up your hips (deep goblet squat, happy baby pose, leg swings, etc).
Oh yes. That i understand very much.
Edit: Concerning this particular topic, believe me when I say I completely understand where your headspace is at. I’m not gonna sit here and act like I too don’t hover back and forth into that headspace more often than not.
Just to paint a picture I used to eat literally anything my teeth could manage to grind down. I remember one time I went off the rails and starting eating the bark off of trees lol
