Androgel is Useless

I have an appointment with a doctor from

www.bodylogicmd.com on Tuesday. I will fly to dr john crisler or others in another state if needed.

My endo suggestion was to increase Androgel!
I went from 357, to the mid 200’s, to 166 in 5-6 weeks on the gel while on the gel , I do not think more androgel is the answer, at this rate I will have less then 100 T in a week or so!.

Beside the obvious problems of low T, my joints and parts of my body that I injured over the years hurt.

I had gyne surgery last week too, I am moving around like an old man

I am sooooo glad to have you guys to talk to and get info, these docs are really clueless. KSman explained more to me in one post here then 3 all my time with the endo

This place is near me

hard to tell from a web site, but looks like young doctor anyway

I saw this post in another thread, this guy is using a compounded cream, wondering if I should stop the Androgel and try this compounded cream, before committing to shots any thoughts?

Here we go again. This time I’m being treated by Crisler because I’m tired of getting jerked around. So he talked me into a 5% T cream and started me at 75mg a day (1.5 ML of cream). I’m also injecting 400IU of HCG every three days. He claims this new T cream he’s prescribing is the best. The man does this for a living so I’ll take his word for it. I’ve already tried everything except pellets and for me Androgel worked the best but of course it shut my down and back then myself and my family Dr were clueless.

I would have preferred that route with HCG but Crisler talked me into the cream. So it comes in a large plastic syringe, you squirt it directly onto your forearms, and then rub them together. The stuff disappeared in 2 minutes and is dry. I wouldn’t have even tried the cream but I talked to another anti aging clinic that swears by this stuff. They claim if it won’t get you to 900 they’ll but it back and switch you to shots for free.

Just a note that I’ve already tried T cyp at 200mg a week and it really didn’t do much for me. Again this was my family Dr running it as a standalone. I have a feeling if it was dosed properly and split up into twice a week injections it might have worked for me. If the cream doesn’t do the trick I’m going to try Dr Shippen’s routine of inject 50mg of T cyp twice a week sub Q. I haven’t seen anyone post here that does that so I’ll be the ginnie pig.

Just to make it more fun I’m your classic over responder to Adex. Crisler isn’t sure I’m even going to need it. (My E2 at baseline is lower than my T in the given reference ranges.) It’s been my experience from before that one drop a day was to much. I blow right through the sweet spot. I’m not sure what to do there if I need it. Possibly run a less harsh med like Proviron.

I was having a very good experience with gel, but got tired of the daily application, sticky gel, no sweating or getting wet for hours, …

I’m about 5 weeks into shots and finally feeling the affects.

I am a couple weeks into the shots and not really feeling much yet. I just started on adex a few days ago so I hope to be much better in a few more weeks from now. Anybody have data on whether you are better off injecting 200mg once per week vs. splitting it into two 100mg shots per week?

Just got this prescription, the AG isnt working hope this will

3cc syringes with 21g needle ut dict 30 No 2 No
MEDAUS PHARMACY Needle Disposal Kit ut dict 1 No 2 No
MEDAUS PHARMACY HCG Injection () 250 IU Inject 3 days out of 7. 30 days No 2 No

TrueDude1965, I recommend you split your shots. Check out what KSman has written about doing that. I do as well, much better ride.

Iread all of his posts, KSman suggested the 2x a week

5 weeks into shots and finally feeling the effects? that does not seem correct

well my medication came in the mail starting T cyp shots and Hcg for the first time

I am nervous and happy, been sooo low on T my adult life looking forward to some change.
Believe me, working out wit a T level of 166 you do not see many results

How are the shots going?

Following your story, the experience you have had with your Doctors really gives me little hope of finding someone to address my needs.

Hope you are feeling much better.

I don’t have it in front of me, but search the forum for TRT links. In there is an article on how to find a doctor.

I followed the advice exactly and found a local Dr. that I am seeing for the first time tomorrow.

He followed up my e-mail describing his protocol which fit what I was looking for.

ok, had second shot last night, no problem, holding off on HCG for now.
Went to my endo, he said he would NEVER prescibe a AI, ever. He would control E level by powering T, and put me on a diet to lower fat. He says low fat person will not have a hi E issue.
TMy endo called everything we discuss on here snake oil stuff.

I am not taking any AI at the moment thought I would wait a month then test AI, then decide how much arimedex to take. ok?

I am noticing skin changes, hard to describe, seems eggsema [sp] is going away, other part of skin kind of roughish, what going on with that? t improves / effect skin?

Start Adex now and adjust the dose after the first labs. You ARE going to need it so I would start it now or you’ll be in the same boat as me. Everyone needs it. I’m 6’2", 172 lbs, and my last labs showed E2 off the map. Now I’m trying to get it down which is a lot harder than being to low and adjusting up.

I will test my E now, then decide to take take a AI, dont like to take something in the dark without a test

Is there a reference for how long it takes for androgel to raise your T count? Also; does anyone know how long it take to clear your system after you have quit using androgel? I have been on the 5 mg gel for nearly a week with only slight results ( can leave house and don’t sleep all the time).

My TT was 270 / E2 was at 17, and the rest of my labs came in normal,so I know the estrogen is not the problem. I have some T sust and have considered switching to .5cc a week of it.
I will be listing all my stats and labs later but no time now. Thanks

I know its totally wrong, but I have 3 unopened boxes of androgel, i went to shots so androgel wont be used by me.

I may start AI now

depression returning with a vengence, may stop the hrt alltogether

HIGH “E2” may be causing depression.
(Emotional rollercoaster)

Have it checked before you stop.

You can order the test from lef.org for under $30.00, and have the results back in a few days.

Don’t give up !
