anabolic eating

has anyone here tried the anabolic diet with any success. i mean i am not doubting its effects but at first glance it just seems like it would crush my fat loss progress, especially the weekend days. i am in full stride on my cutting diet (high protein, moderate carbs, low, essential fats) and i seem to be in a rut in regards to fat loss. if this truly does work than it would definitely be easier to stick to. also, if it does work can i start it now or should i wait until my next bulking phase to make sure my metablolism adjusts accordingly. T-men (& women), let me know of your experiences with this diet.

I followed the anabolic diet and did well on it…lost plenty of bodyfat and gained some LBM too. Positives include your first workout of the week post weekend - your strength will be incredible! Negetives include the fact that by the end of the week you will be weak as a kitten! Oh, and you get to carb up big time at the weekends which is fun after living on bacon and cheese for 5 days. My main advice if you are concerned about body recomp. would be don’t over do the weekend carb ups…maybe only do one day instead of two.

Dan Duchaine wrote a very good keto diet “the body opus” and Lyle Mcdonald has also written a good book on keto diets. LM posted a whole years worth of keto diet diaries on some free to view sites - search em out for extra info.

thanks patch, i will give them a look.

I’ve got to agree. I looked the best I’ve ever looked on the Anabolic Diet, and I found it the easiest to stick to of any of the fat-loss diets I’ve tried. If you’ve got a good grill, it’s even easier. I didn’t even have a problem with full-weekend carb-ups, although you’ll find that by Sunday evening, you’re craving steak and veggies again.
