An Uncommon Pursuit

Disturbing and funny at the same time - from Jim Wendler’s log.

Just tried on my singlet again. First time since the last competition.

Really tight on the thighs and more snug in the groin since my traps have gotten higher.

When I squat down in the them the crease at the top of the thigh goes all the way to my ass, so I shouldn’t get red lighted for depth, if that’s how the judges measure it, LoL!

Still has about 6 inches of extra material around the waist, which I’m thinking of taking in.

Right elbow still hurts like hell past 90degrees of flexion, but it doesn’t seem to fire off on bench too badly and it gets a bit better after some warmup, so I don’t care.

Pissed me off during the pressdowns so I concentrated on throwing all the stress I could stand onto it. If it’s going to hurt then I need to learn suck it up. I can’t afford all the feminine products required to alleviate it.

Getting stoked.:D[/quote]

Just remember the song “The Gambler” “you got to know when to hold 'em and know when to fold 'em” don’t get too crazy pushing thru the pain and do permanent damage… (yes - I’m really an old woman outside the internet - apologies to those of the female persuasion)

Have at 'em in 12 days!

Great numbers Skidmark. You sound very positive and focused. Second time round will be a whole different story. Stay strong and foused the day of reconciliation is approaching.

Thanks for your concern. I’ll be careful…Dad. Can’t bring myself to call you Mom, even if you are an old lady.

It’s possible. Not saying it’ll happen, but if everything goes right the chances are good.

I know where I want my second attempts to be from this, though.

Chance my ass! Downright doable. Get calm at those weights! They are your best friend. Embrass them! Ok, my advise didn’t work last time, thought I’d try a different tact. See a definite possibility here.

Things are looking up even more. My wife got tired of me whining about my back and made an appointment with a super duper chiropractor.

Things done.

Skull adjusted -sphenoid bone: Makes my legs and hips work better. I don’t know why it works, but my legs and hips DO work better.

Neck and upper back: improved my shoulder strength, particularly the subscapularis. My rotator cuff strength has improved. Nerves were being impinged in the cervical spine. All that high bar squatting I used to do. Even better, I can activate the long head of my right triceps now. Now if the elbow tendinits will abate somewhat my bench should get better.

Hips: apparently my hips bones were counter rotated to each other. No I can feel my ass working when I walk and have more power in my step.

Right Bicep tendon: It was out of the groove. It’s been placed back in the bicipital groove and my Bench pressing should improve.

Calcium lactate and magnesium lactate “prescribed” to make muscle contraction and release more efficient.

It was worth all the crunchy sounds and catch-wrestling moves to feel this good.

I go back Wednesday for a follow-up.

The DC expressed absolute horror that I had been lifting weights in the structural condition I was in. Berated me the whole time. She was great.

Kalo Clinic - Sarah Kalomiros. Google it if you’re in the Bay Area. She’s worth the trip. Works with a lot with ultimate fighters in the area currently.

Did your chiro do craniopothy?
that is when they manipulate the bones fontanels in the skull
adjust your upper or lower pallete?

I find that is what helps me, sounds like she is an awesome Dr.

Pics are cool- I need to get on the band wagon with that too…
So you are two weeks out, its getting exciting
