I have elbow issues as well skid.I train in elbow sleeves to keep them warm and stable.I have a partial tear in my left elbow and tricep.Never had surgery and it has impacted my bench but training in the sleeves helps alot. I hardly ever get sore elbows. You are a commited lifter and I respect that bro! Have a GREAT weekend! Jimmy T

Thanks Jimmy. I’m going to pick up a pair of elbow sleeves. Can’t do anything but help and I need them for zercher’s in any case.
Sorry to hear about the layoff, but happy you get more time for training and family. Temporary situation, I’m sure, the layoff I mean.

Squat Day cycle 2
Squats
Barx15
135x10
225x5
275x3
325x7 (almost 8 - descended, started to come up, lost the weight forward and right lumbar erectors cut out)
Anderson Squats (4" below ||)
305 2x5
315 3x3
Good Morning Squats
235 3x8
ab wheel rollouts (from knees)
2x15
Back-unsupported straight leg raises
2x12
Think I’m going really deep in the squats. feel almost as deep as the Anderson squats. I’ve tapped the catchers a few times… Last comp after a missed 365 a few of the competitors told me I was going too deep. I may still be doing so.
I’ll get the 325 for eight reps next time for sure. stay at 235 for GM squats cuz they were fugly.

those GM-squats seem to be the hot new thing
and you did those after, after the other squats.
I need to train with a rack again…
good stuff

Out of the whole session, the GM squats kill me the most. I’m so tired and my back has been so thoroughly worked on the other two movements - I’m ready to quit on the second set at rep # 6. And my last 2 reps on the last two sets look like falling squats.
I dunno if they’re doing any good yet but they’ve been prescribed so I’m gonna keep at 'em. My back has been feeling better and stronger, but doesn’t yet seem to have the endurance that should result from these. I may be going too heavy for the movement and my level of fatigue, actually.
went to a movie with the family tonight and then out to a hamburger joint that sells 1-lb hamburgers.
I had me one and surprised myself by getting around the whole thing. And a big ole milkshake (thanks for the suggestion eco). came home and had a near-beer to polish it off.
The big dose of carbs has me pumped. I should be feeling pretty good in the morning. Looking forward to my 6 eggs and sausage patties for breakfast. Go pick up a side of grass-fed beef from the Bud’s Custom Meats in Penngrove just outside of Petaluma in the afternoon after my boy’s music lessons. We’re doing this instead of fixing the car. Can’t eat a car…

As strong as you’ve been getting, I would not doubt that you might be able to eat a car now.

Helped some friends move today. The husband was out of the house working and the wife was too small, so it was just me against the dressers and the dining room table on the stairs.
Feel tired, but not hurt. Going to attempt some DL’ing tomorrow.
