I am Californian born and bred. Lived all my life next to the pacific ocean. Where i live The hills go right down to the ocean. On the other side of them is the San Francisco Bay.
The sunsets have been gorgeous and last night was a nearly full moon. You could hear the nightbirds hunting over the high school sports fields down below.
I don’t know if I coiuld live anywhere else…
Makes me wish I could afford to live in the area
My wife grew up in Walnut Creek, that entire northern coastal area is fun to visit from time to time.
I started to do my first cycle of deadlifts today, but my adductors are so tight and painful (started cramping on the first set of 135) that I may have to bail today. Squats did me in, but good…
I’ll try some mobility stuff and see if I can try again.
Tonight was my squat/leg night – Guess what I learned tonight?
I learned that if I eat coleslaw for two days before squat day and tighten my stomach whilst squatting and SLDL’ing, I can actually increase the magnitude, velocity, and volume of the gas produced as it exits my ass in the most critical position of each lift.
I also learned that I can turn heads with said technique
I also also learned that my gym has QUITE an echo…
Just when I thought it would be alright to check out your profile…BAM !!! Your “jerky” dog picture blows up in my face. Wow.
Good pics brother, looking real solid, and good lifting as always.

lol! I gotta try this… but to ensure the hearing impaired persons that frequent my gym get to take part, I will be sure to mix a few bean burritos in as well.

There MUST be a way to harness that for the good of mankind…
Dang - twanged something in my right elbow pushing myself out of my chair. Only feels goofy at past 90 degree flexion, but I didn’t like the snap! sound it made.
Gonna have to watch that one and see how it does on bench day.

Hope the elbow snap leaves as quickly as it came. Just looked at your pics. You’ve got abs on top of abs. Always been ripped like that?
Yes. Even as a baby.
Regarding the elbow: my little visitor is likely to be here a few days. Hurting today. don’t want to bend my arm. Flexion past 110 degrees is painful, but only a bit. I think it’s going to be cable flyes or dumbbells for me on bench day tomorrow - I can’t push heavy with this. Might be able to get away with high rep high board presses. We’ll have to see.

Hey skid - catching up now. You 've been doing great stuff as always. Baby that elbow for a few days and let stuff get back into place - get well!
Good suggestion and I thought about doing that, but it may have to wait. Using ice on it right now.
2 hours sleep last night, still a lot of DOMS from deads two days ago and the elbow is still unhappy. Taking an extra day of rest and I’m pushing come hell or high water tomorrow.

Hmmmm…snapping elbows doesn’t sound good. Hope it’s nothing, but be smart if your gonna push tomorrow.
Thanks for the concern, DZ. I had all the people I know from this board who have had tendon issues in mind when it made the sound. I intend to be careful tomorrow, for sure.
