Better check the BS meter, battery is getting low. Jeez, a guy goes away for awhile, and now he can’t make one dam joke? And besides, I’m the only person I’ve seen do shrugs in my gym, I’m not bragging, it’s sad but true.
Good luck though, with the new gym, that “power-rack-petition” really could work.

Sorry I missed the joke - I’ve had weighty matters on my mind. Realized I don’t know squat, barring the deep knee bend part. I’ll have to be cagey in this pursuit or may bench myself. I try not to look like a dumbbell, but I think maybe I have too much on my plate to avoid failure.
I know - I’ve only seen one or two fellas do shrugs with any amount of weight and the rest not at all.
Thanks for the well-wish, I do hope it works out. No pun intended there…

.

Heck, that [^] looks like a normal day at my house …

More fun …
Sorry for the hi-jack!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Still lookin’ good there skid. That twinge could be hips or back given your history. I don’t have to tell you to keep a watch on it.
Great goal on the competition squat!
ps - pushing the envelope on the thread title aren’t we?

I just figured it was a play off of the “flaming wheel o’ doom” and the “hot” abs that result ![]()

Not at all.
It’s funny you should post those - I’ve been wanting a dog lately. Haven’t had one since high school, but my son is of an age where there ought to be one in the house. Boys should grow up living with and caring for dogs.

No PR’s today, but some solid work. Need to get more cals in - been kinda light the last week…
First you’re cutting, now you’re bulking. At least you’re consistantly lifting.
Looks like an internet indentity crisis, and the Doc’s not in right now. You hang in there Skidmark, we’re pulling for you old buddy!
I’m on an intense culking cycle.
I don’t have an identity crisis: I know exactly who I’m not.
Don’t pull for me - fella who sleeps with his hands in his shorts…
I figgered I could use that one since you opened the door on it in j_willy’s thread…

I’m a bachelor, that’s how we sleep.
3300 calorie day and I’m feeling better than I’ve felt the whole week.
yeah!
Taking an extra day off. Everything is tight and sore still. Going to help a friend put in some windows and I got a walk this morning which helped loosen up my lower back.
Got a good big breakfast which I’ll top off with a mass gainer shake before I go over to his house plus a decent lunch and dinner and I’ll be right as rain by tomorrow.
Renewed the gym membership so I’ll try some manpon benching at the gym tomorrow.

Glad I waited the extra day. Felt really strong to day. Never came close to missing a rep.
The crazy bell press is goofy as all get-out, but I like them. You really have to control your press to keep the weights from shaking all over the place. If you like to bounce the bar off your chest you will rip something loose in your shoulder if you do it with these. I had to press veeeerrrrryyyy slllooooowwwwllllyyyy with these and it still wiggled quite a bit…

I’m going to have to buy me some bands.
Tske it really carefully if you do the crazy bell press. I had forewarning from QuarterTonner’s experience on Hel’s thread. Poor fella hurt something with them.
Got a line on some 45’s for $.30 a lb. Hoping to pick those up today, all 6 of them. That’ll give me 600 lbs of weights at home and more flexibility in my bar loading than I have now. Might be able to exercise exclusively at home if I so choose.
Just picked up 6 Iron Grip 45’s and 2 10’s for $100. They are so snug on the bar that I won’t need any clips to keep them on.
Back in the home gym action!
