An Idea for a Tasty Dessert

So if any one has any knowledge in this subject it would be appreciated,Im thinking of taking plain yogurt, milk and protien powder putting it in the blender untill desired consiteny then into the freezer and eating it like ice cream with fruit on it.

Will this work and what else may i need to put in it to get ice cream like texture.

My tasty dessert:

1 cup fat free cottage cheese
1 tbs sugar free preserves

Eat it.
It almost tastes, kind of, not really like New York strawberry cheesecake.

That will be pretty hard frozen, I bet. If you want it to get to an ice cream consistency, put it in an ice cream machine. The way it works is by stirring in air as the mixture freezes, so you get a softer consistency and smaller ice crystals, which gives ice cream a lot of its texture.

There are recipes online on how to make ice cream without an ice cream maker, I don’t think it turns out quite as well, but it involves freezing for like 15 minutes at a time, stirring it or blending it or something, and then repeating that. Good luck.

Sugar free pudding + protein is wonderful. I try to keep a 1-1 ratio between pudding powder and protein powder. You can chop up fruit and add some whipped cream too.

Check out some of the articles by Chris Shugart, he always has some solid ideas

Today before bed I’ll try this:

-Full fat milk
-5 eggs yolks
-protein powder
-cream cheese
-raisins

I’m going to put everything in a blender and voila!

my favorite dessert is steak.

Yeah I like steak to,I usually eat it while im doing my squat deadlift workout.I strap a bar to my back then squat down and pick up another bar and proceed to squat dead lift.I gnaw on a steak while doing this.

So there!!

Milk + chocolate whey protein + banana + ice blended together tastes like a banana fudge-cicle I think.

if I have a dessert, I actually have a real dessert of chocolate mousse, the real stuff made with eggs, dark chocolate, cream and sugar.
that is tasty

I like greek yogurt w/ about a scoop of grow mixed in, then add some frozen blueberries and mix it up a bit. The yogurt kind of freezes and it is like ice cream to me.

Coconut milk w/ fruit blended then froze for about an hour works too.

That’s literally exactly what I do, twice a day. I’m sure you, me, and 2000000 other people, but shit, if it works, why stray? Im bout to make one.

You guys are missing a key ingredient: cocoa

A tiny bit of guar gum goes a long way.

…I think.

When i want a shake with an extra chocolaty taste, 2 or 3 spoonfuls of cocoa do an amazing job. I think cocoa is supposed to have antioxidants or something in it as well, but I don’t know that for a fact.

Also, I do the banana thing too.

And since I don’t like vegetables too much, I like to put a few leaves of spinnach and/or a bit of broccoli in my larger blended monstrosities. You can’t really taste it, and every bit helps.

Girl Scout Cookies.

6oz of cal countdown milk
2 scoops of van md
1 tablespoon of pb mixed in
Blend
Pour in a bowl
Drizzle a tablespoon of pb on top
Freeze for an hour

GREAT before bed!

I was just thinking about this last night… OG said she eats Chocolate Mousse as a real desert… but has anyone actually made it by themselves before? It’s not that hard.

I was thinking about making it except exchange the sugar with xylitol or some other low cal sweetener. The rest is basically egg whites, chocolate protein and a little bit of vanilla (if memory serves me right). I’ll try this in the next day or so and post the results…

Hell yeah. I have my “protein pudding” later in the day, so I forgo the blueberries, but greek yogurt with Grow! is amazing. A half scoop of chocolate and a half scoop of vanilla is the best.

Someone posted this a year or so back and I LOVED it… cant remember quantities though!

Eggs
Semi skimmed milk (or water)
Cinnamon
Natural peanut butter (preferably smooth)
Splenda

Essentially you whizz it all up in a blender, pour into a bowl, whack in microwave on medium and take out and whisk up every 20-30 secs - essentially scrambling it. I however like it somewhere between creamy oats and scrambled eggs.

OH MY SWEET JESUS IT IS AMAZING

A picky flatmate of mine last year tried some… and demanded I make her a bowl!

I really had a craving for it the other day however funds are very low at the moment…
