Can you talk more about his training sessions? Power lifting in the morning and bodybuilding at night, is it a matter of rep ranges or more specific exercises?[/quote]
In the morning he does each one of the powerlifts or a variation. He trains each lift every day, but only twice a week he goes all out.
e.g.
Day 1
Squat: maximum (a lot of sets in the 1-5 rep range)
Bench: high intensity (medium number of sets in the 5-7 reps range)
Dead: moderate intensity (low numer of sets in the 8-10 range)
Day 2
Bench: maximum
Dead: high
Squat: moderate
Day 3
Dead: maximum
Squat: high
Bench: moderate
Day 4
Front squat: maximum
Incline bench: high
1/2 dead: moderate
Day 5
Incline bench: maximum
1/2 dead: high
Front squat: moderate
Day 6
1/2 dead: maximum
Front squat: high
Incline bench: moderate
In the evening he trains one bodypart, using supersets.
NOTE: I DO NOT recommend training all three powerlifts everyday like he does to 99% of the population. Amit has a strong olympic lifting background. Olympic lifter train their whole body every day so he is used to it.
He’s thick.Lower body is amazing, particularly hams and glute-ham separation. Kudos on that.
Good improvement in his biceps (long head probably) and back width over previous contest imo. Biceps not disappearing in the side chest anymore and lats showing better in rear double bi.
IIRC Yates never showed good width in his rear double bi but managed to open his scapulae up fully for his famous rear lat spread.
It will be quite interesting to see him next to the other competitors in his weight class.

That is one hell of a schedule. It’s definitely working for him, good luck to you both.
