Long story short, I’ve played football since I was a kid, and I’m hoping to continue playing in college. Right now
I’m following WS4SB and after talking with a friend about it, I’m not sure if I’m eating enough. I’m about 6’2 225 and my day goes a little something like this
Breakfast- apple, orange, 2 cups milk
snack- 1/2 cup almonds, beef jerky
lunch- peanut butter sandwich
snack-tuna
PWO- protein shake w/ creatine + milk
then I make an omelette (sp?) with 4 eggs, milk, and cheese, sometimes I have whatever my dad makes for dinner after that, and sometimes I just settle for that as dinner
before bed- casein protein shake made with water
I get something like ~200 grams protein, 135 carbs, and 100 fat, If it helps I’m also taking ZMA and Alpha Male. I know some might say I’m young enough that the Alpha Male won’t have an effect, but I notice a significant difference.
So do you thing I’m getting enough protein or should I add somewhere??
No, it doesn’t look like you’re eating enough calories. I think I eat more calories than you do and I’m currently 143 lbs.
Your breakfast is pretty bad. That should be a big meal. Why don’t you eat the omelet then? Your lunch is pretty lame too. PB sandwich. Also, you need to eat more veggies.
Here is me on a bad day
breakfast: 4-5 cups of milk
breakfast 2: 1 can of beans
Lunch: cheeseburger
snack: none because I forgot it
predinner: 4 cups of milk, some nuts or fruit
dinner: Fast food.
Dinner 2: 1 can of tuna
Dinner 3: 2 cups of milk.
Est protein 160grams calories 4,000-5000 (fast food makes that number huge)
Here is a good day.
Here is me on a bad day
breakfast: 4-5 cups of milk, 4 cups oatmeal
breakfast 2: 1 can of beans
Lunch: large chicken breast
snack: salt free trail mix or mixed nuts, or 2x protein shake.
predinner: 2 cups of milk, some nuts AND dried fruit.
dinner: some huge meal where I eat to much, like 3 chicken breasts, 2 servings of mash potatoes, 2 cups of milk.
Dinner 2: 1 can of tuna 2 cup of milk.
Dinner 3: 1 can of tuna 2 cups of milk.
I haven’t totaled calories or protein for either of those in a long time. Est 270-300 grams of protein on good days. Est Calories 4,000-5,000 (I drink soda frequently).
I am also 40lbs lighter then you, so no I you aren’t eating enough.
You have “Eat-somewhat-correctly-right-after-working-out-
because-I-feel-like-it’ll-all-go-to-my-muscle-but-eat-very
-little-at-any-other-time-because-I-feel-like-it-will-turn
-to-fat” syndrome. Get over it. Just because you haven’t put down the weights 2 seconds ago doesn’t mean you don’t need calories to build muscle.

Damn, glad I asked, I think I’m gonna try making another omelette in the morning, then add some sort of chicken to my lunch and have a protein shake somewhere throughout the day, that should get me closer to the 275-300 range. Thanks for the help
