HAHAHA, I just thought I was normally fucked up. I still had a ways to go before being FUBAR.

Hells bells, I make my living in the lumber business, and too slow to choose a real career path. I guess I am FUBAR!!

Thank God for the weightlifting!

Besides this thread, I have started maybe nine or ten other threads. None of them have been of significance, however I think I finally did a good thing in T-Cell Alpha, with my thread titled Mental Excellence in Training. Check it out if you havent already, I have been very impressed with the responses of folks there.

It bugs me that a few folks have PM’d me that they wanted to respond as well, but couldnt because they werent “in the club.” If someone wants to respond to those questions and arent a T-Cell member, put them here. I love reading what others think on this subject, and if I see something special here I’ll just quote you over there to get the message out. If this violates some T-Cell policy well then they can just tribunal me out of there.

Hey Doc - just vote them in yourself and screw the Tribunal thing.

This whole tribunal thing reminds me of elementary school and picking up teams to play ball…

I find this forum a lot more mature than that one.

Guess I’m over to check out your thread there.

Finally got my butt back in the gym. Worked out at my clubhouse gym, decent machine workout (almost an oxymoron), but 35 sets of lats, back and legs had me spent. Trying not to think about the fact that my T level is probably about 100 right now, so I focused on volume. Two more weeks before a repeat PSA and then if its high I gotta do the 18 site biopsy thing under general anesthesia.

Staying positive, for the most part, had a few laughs posting on the "penis exercise thread" with some friends I've made on other parts of T-Nation.

Thinking ahead, if my hormonal issues etc turn out OK, in a month I am considering a big step. I want to purchase a full Olympic weight set with bumpers, build a platform, and talk either my club house gym manager or the local Worlds gym manager to let me set it up. There actually is more room in the clubhouse gym, room for a rack too. On the other hand, the odds of them allowing it I would think are much lower than Worlds' agreeing to it. I am tired of doing OL out of the lone squat rack at World's, which is often busy as well.

I'm still broke, but my position at the hospital just got upgraded, higher pay, so what better way to spend the extra money than on a sweet Eleiko set? That makes me smile just thinking about it. Alot more fun than paying off my debts, lol. Doc

Keeping a thread going for me keeps me honest…you can write a private journal but after many years of doing them I find they no longer inspire me the way this thread does…I don’t want to let people down and I want to share the joys of mutual accomplishments…both with iron and without.[/quote]

The thing about the Iron Game is that it’s a relatively lonely road. For the most part, lifting is a solitary game. The Internet changed that. Now lifters can “talk” to other like-minded lifters on their down time. This has opened a lot of doors for many people.

Yes, it’s still just you and the Iron when you lift, but now you have an assortment of people you can share your experience with, who understand your journey and will affirm your efforts. Never underestimate the power of that!

Glad you had a great day!

Welcome to the thread, Cappy. And everyone, check out Cappy’s profile so that you can feel weak about your dipping skills. Doc

bump…I don’t like the reply number being 666. you know, I have my quirks. Doc

Everyone has their strengths … mine just happens to be dipping! I have my weaknesses too!

Thanks for the welcome, Doc!

Cappy

Think investing in the weights would be a great move, Doc. Let you set up a regular schedule to train specifically for your quest.

Welcome Cappy. Strong dip strength. Several of the posters are into grip strength training, too. Don’t get many female lifters hanging out here on a regular basis. Hope you stick around. Brings a new outlook.

Would be sweet if the clubhouse lets you do that.

I’m not a tennis fan, but I caught the end of that Nadal-Federer match at Wimbelton, and that showed INTENSE WILL TO WIN on Nadal’s part, beating a five time champion. That helped fire me up to get my butt in the gym despite a weekend on call.

Clubhouse, but managed to stack the bench and pulldown machines and and work on my pull-ups since I dared Hel to get to 5 (haha). Glad there’s an assisted pull up machine, I need it to get ANY volume (hahaha).

That assisted pullup machine lets you do dips too, I may have to embarass myself on that next time, for Cappy.

Oh, I’d be honored! Embarrass away!

Accepted

This should be fun to watch…

Crap. Did I miss something? Has a gauntlet been thrown down?

You’ll be shooting for reps with 40% of BW added, right?

Cappy

Lessee, for them that would be about 100 lbs.

It can be done.

Absolutely!

As strong as the two of them are…it should be 100 lbs., one finger-pullups, for reps. Anything else would be “sandbagging”…
