C’mon Sasquatch… is that how you talk to women? How do some of you guys ever find a woman, talking to them like that?

Save those harsh words for me. Seriously dude, no need to beat up on women, beat up fools like me.

I see there is a battle going on here. This was the start of it. If Sasquatch’s reply was “harsh” toward women or A woman, we all better re-think women as we know them.

I cannot fathom with all my being and by any stretch of the imagination how that was harsh.

I saw a woman painting men with a very broad brush as being weak and unable to cope with what women cope with. X called her on it as well. Her statement was patently false,ill-informed and trite.

I personally do not know any woman that needs a man to come to her defense. In fact, I’d imagine the women I associate with, including my wife, would be insulted by the “knight in shining armor” treatment.

Maybe women DO need a man’s protection afterall (but I doubt it).
Maybe you would like to play the game Derek. sasquatch talks a good game , but in reality he fell short and could not back himself up when I told him to proove it. So, he’s in la la land probably convincing himself that he could beat any man without ever having set foot in the ring.

Anyway, my challange to sasquach was to come up with an original quote that defines a real man in one sentence. I just spiffed mine up a little by combing through a few of my sentences in this thread, and my thoughts on what I think one is.

(my challange still stands, if you think you have a better definition… then write it down sasquach)

Here goes…

‘A Real Man’
“One who sustains suffering for the benefit of another without ever having felt sorry for himself, reveals the true essence of one”

I sent you a pm, but according to my system it did not send.

I appreciate your comments and apologize for taking over your thread.
As far as your wife is concerned, I’ll bet cooler heads have already prevailed. It still might be a good idea to run a bath or spread some lotion around.

ps-remember the 20 squat routine we went on about.–Awesome–Thanks

I’ll clue you in. The words themselves are not harsh. It’s reading them in the context and the tone of voice that they were meant in can be harsh. Words are meant to inflict damage if worded properly.

I’m fairly certain a real man wouldn’t be very concerned about winning a battle of “wits” with a keyboard as the weapon with a total stranger on the internet.

Besides, it’s been stated before…

A real man cannot be defined. Let alone defined in a mere sentence.

Your “challenge” now offered to me (above) suggests that you were offended by my last post. Sorry if that was the case. Had I realized you were so easily offended I wouldn’t have offered my opinion on the matter.

If returning a thought in the very same manner it was originally delivered is harsh, then you are right.

Actually I was not offended by you or anybody on this site, ever. I thought maybe you were up for some fun. I battle everything, I’m afraid of no man. I will battle the body the brain or whatever you like. I’ve never backed down before. I’ve only been backed down from a many of times.

Christ, its the internet guys. Live a little. I’m kicking escot’s ass and he’s having a fun time with it.

If you read my quote it doesn’t exactly define one, rather it sheds light on the embodyment of one.

“A real man cannot be defined. Let alone defined in a mere sentence.” Says who? I just did it.

A DEFINITION delimits or describes the meaning of a concept or term by stating the essential properties of the entities or objects denoted by that concept or term.

Well it’s looks like you lost your first match with me. The challenge was to DEFINE a man. Then you clearly state that what you wrote “doesn’t exactly define one”. You lost by your failure to define a man as proven by your own words.

Set match or whatever they say in chess!
Again, read the words. I said “exactly”, because there is no exact definition for it. It wasn’t meant as a contradiction.

Again, another player claiming victory… having never made a move with the opponents move already on the board. hmmmmm What the hell kinda score do you guys keep. Must be those negative numbers or reverse pointology. I guess if baltimore scores a field goal and Denver doesn’t score tonight, then Denver won with that scoring system.

I love you guys… this is almost too easy its not even fun. I had to tell escot how to beat me and he’s still going to get destroyed. What more can I do?

Look, I started this thread asking a legitimate question about an act I thought was noble.

I got some very helpful answers, some very funny answers and everything was going well.

Then you joined in apparently trying to help but only managed to confuse us all and sucked some of us into playing your inane games.

If I were you, I’d save my competitive spirit for things that really matter.

If it makes you feel better, YOU WIN.

Game over.

Dammit! I didn’t want to win by default. That’s the second one this week. Your thread was good until you decided to ignore every woman in it. That’s why I jumped in. The truth is you will fail again as a result of not willing to change and adapt to the situation; post when this happens again, you should have taken the “womens” advice. You didn’t. You gave that in your answers. You choose to listen to the attitude of the men which is why you had to start a thread on the internet in the first place. Some day you’ll wise up and listen to the women about their problems and not men, they’ll tell you everything you wanna know. It just takes a man to learn how to read one. Good luck son.

 1. You absolutely did the right thing.

 2. She’ll get over it. Please do not apologise, you did nothing wrong. Just say, “I understand how you feel. I want to reassure you that I love you and am completely loyal. However, my conscience told me it was the right thing to do, and other than the fact that I upset you, I am glad I did it.”

 3. If you ignore this, she’ll forget it, and you’ll have great jealously make-up sex.

You get more and more creepy with each post.

I learned a lot from this thread including and especially the women.

It seems as though you think I am the cause of this problem and am bound to see it again.

You’re half right. I probably will see this again because I refuse to quit doing the right thing. I cannot be responsible for other’s actions even those of my lovely wife’s. I can only be responsible for my own actions and reactions. If being a loving, faithful husband and father isn’t quite enough to quell the occasional emotional anomally, so be it, I can deal with it considering her many fantastic traits.

You on the otherhand seem to think you can manipulate your wife’s behavior by saying and doing whatever she feels she nees at the time. Well, good luck with that. You may need it.
