I was “dating” two other women when we met. One was 160 lbs with a defined six-pack (bodybuilder-type)and the other weighed 94 lbs and went on to win or place in 4 or 5 beauty contests since.

The thing is though, is that I broke it off with them to be with her. At the time, I was anti-kids and anti-marriage. She changed all that for me and she KNOWS it well. We joke about it often. I am the epitome of a family man and it shows in my current behavior and in the cessation of my past behavior (casual dating).
Back when we met over four years ago (not very long ago, I suppose) she had this idea that I had a “reputation”. I really didn’t. I was a popular trainer at Gold’s Gym at the time which by itself gave that image but that’s all it was. I was very professional and still am.
My actions since we met have been those of a stand-up, faithful, trustworthy, honest and relationship-minded man.
I do not drink (out at bars), I do not come home late, I am always on time or call if otherwise.
I do not know where the problem lies.

I see there is a battle going on here. This was the start of it. If Sasquatch’s reply was “harsh” toward women or A woman, we all better re-think women as we know them.
I cannot fathom with all my being and by any stretch of the imagination how that was harsh.
I saw a woman painting men with a very broad brush as being weak and unable to cope with what women cope with. X called her on it as well. Her statement was patently false,ill-informed and trite.
I personally do not know any woman that needs a man to come to her defense. In fact, I’d imagine the women I associate with, including my wife, would be insulted by the “knight in shining armor” treatment.
Maybe women DO need a man’s protection afterall (but I doubt it).
