I read that alright, and I’m not trying to make things wierd with you and your clients as I MAY be totally wrong, but that still doesn’t mean anything. Even if she was doing it subconciously, most women would know that a guy is gonna call them back if they seem incoherently upset.

Personally, I think you have to be your own man about things and do what YOU think is right & you shouldn’t tiptoe through life wondering if you’re going to upset her or not. At the same time it’s no harm to understand why certain things might make her upset & it’s no harm to know where to draw the line with other women making demands on your time (in this case it’s fine and I think you did the right thing, but if ‘something comes up’ with any regularity then just be wise to any potential problem).

Not sure if I’m making sense anymore so I’ll summarise it like this - help out your client in need, then spend way more time than that doing something with your wife.
