Alternative To Wide-Grip Pull-Up?

I need an alternative to wide-grip pull-ups, which can be done with DBs. I have a tendency for one arm to be slightly bigger than the other and doing pull-ups, one side may be working harder.
Supine DB rows are out, as my gym does not have a high enough bench. I have tried bent-over DB rows, with elbows out, but they feel awkward, esp. since I am doing 10 sets (German Volume Training.)
Any reccomedations or suggestions?

I doupt supine rows are out, you can usually make something up that can mimic the movement. So you can do wide-grip pullups but bc your one arm maybe dominate over the other you aren’t going to, or can you simply not do them yet? I’d just do them, or chinups, or pulldowns. But with a DB I guess I’d do one arm rows or pullovers. Single arm pullovers to work each unilaterally.

I’m going to go ahead and be a jerk and say that one of your arms is probably NOT significantly bigger than the other, and that it is not contributing to any kind of imbalance through your back exercises, and that you are just worrying way too much about these kinds of things rather than looking at the big picture.

In other words, I think you need to stop being such a girl, but that’s just my opinion based on the very limited amount of information you’ve provided.

But I am a girl! I can’t help that! You are right, one arm is not SIGNIGICANTLY bigger than the other, cos both arms are much smaller than I’d like them to be (once I reach 14% BF, I’ll be starting a SERIOUS bulk-up.)The difference, however is noticiceable and I would really like to nip it it the bud. Since I switched to using DBs, there has been an improvement, so I would like to continue as such.
Are you suggesting that I’m afraid of a hard workout? If ever you’re in Sydney, Australia, I invite you to train with me! I may have the genetics of a fashion model, but I have the disciplain and determination to be anything I want to be! (I’d better go, before y’all start with the roid rage jokes!)

I love australian girls!

No I don’t think you’re afraid of a hard workout haha I’m sure it is just the opposite. I think you are probably going too hard. Too hard MENTALLY (majoring in the minors, so to speak), and probably straining yourself too much physically… for example… what is this get to 14% bodyfat business?

If that is a current picture of you in your avatar and you are actually trying to LOSE weight, then I already know I’m right.

Please tell me I’m wrong.

Keep doing them. Your “smaller” arm will ultimately catch up.

I plan to enter my 1st figure contest in a year’s time. I want to cut, then bulk , as I have a tendency to gain fat along wqith muscle. I’m a healthy 32 YO woman. I do push myself hard, but somebody has to.

Give Christian Thibaudeau’s “The Torso Solution” a read if you still want to train your back

as for the uneven arms doosl is right your smaller arm will catch up
