I am doing a program that involves wave loading and I dont think I know the power clean or snatch well enough not to fuck myself up doing them with near maximal loads.
So any alternatives untill I learn them correctly.

Not really any alternatives. You can work on each individual portion for better performance. For instance, you could do High pulls from the knees to mimic the second pull. Reverse curls will help with your catch in the clean. Behind the head presses will help with your catch in the snatch. Push presses will help a lot too. The only key to learning these to movements is practice. The movements are a little weird especially in the transition from the first and second pull. Just be patient when you start learning them.
Try high pulls. The learning curve isn’t nearly as difficult simply because there isn’t a catch.
Snatch and clean pulls are also options, and speed deadlifts are good as well.
I would go with high pulls or speed pulls as well.
