Alternate DE Day

As an athlete has anyone had success using alternate DE exercises when using Westside methods? for example: powercleans, keg toss, tire flip, DB swing, etc.

I’ve been using Westside for a few months now, and I find it too hard to keep switching up the DE movement. In my opinion I like keeping the DE movement the same for a few weeks so that there is no shock during those crucial recovery days of the week. I have found that the DE excercise doesn’t matter much as long as the load is correct. Do your body a favour and don’t shock it with too many variations of the DE workout.

What is DE day? J/K! I am actually faster than I am strong, so every three weeks I will just do repetition or all accessory work. DE work wears me out.

Louie Simmons has actually stated that he likes tire flips for ME work for athletes. Others have said this as well. I would keep the DE exercises, especially box squats, in the routine.
