Today’s Fuel:

Meal 1: 2 Scoops of ON 100% Whey, 1 Scoop Metabolic Drive, 1 Flameout, 2 BCAA’s, Lucine, Black Coffee

Meal 2: Ham & Cheese sandwitch, Double protein bread

Meal 3: Salad, Double chicken, Balsamic dressing.

Meal 4: 2 and a half Turkey sausages (the brat sized ones) green peppers, onions, ketchup, 1 Flameout

Meal 5: 2 Scoops of ON 100% Whey, 1 Scoop Metabolic Drive, 1 Flameout, 2 BCAA’s, Lucine, Black Coffee

*oh and I forgot on my above post 25 minutes cardio (incline walking on the treadmill) at 0’ dark thirty this morning…

Sorry to hear about the leg. Not sure if you’ll be around for Veterans Day so figured I’d say thanks now haha! I resorted to a lot of your bodyweight stuff while i was in Virginia for a tactical training course. Good times. For your shoulder, look into Myogenix Joint and tissue repair it works wonders we sell tons of it at the shop.

Chi-town: ahhh you caught that one did ya? Yeah man, I am taking a page out of Meat’s book…they are not 100gm shakes but i figured a little more protein couldn’t hurt!

09November2010: Training

25 minutes incline walking at 0’Dark 30 this morning


Insert: 5 Rounds as fast as i could go

10 Wide grip Pull-ups
10 Ring Dips
20 Decline Sit-ups
10 Ring push-ups (feet suspended)

Repeat 5 times

Strength: Was just working on my deadlift form while I am hurt, so i didn’t go heavy…but still a good day all of the same…i guess we will see if i am crippled tomorrow.

1a. Sumo’s: 315x2, 405x1x5
1b. 50lb. DB Swings: 6 sets of 10 swings
1c. Back extensions: 6 sets of 10

ran out of time…


Notes:

-on top of this I have been teaching stuff all day including a lot of hand to hand stuff and running around training during foot chases…

-I am burning a insane amount of calories all day long and I am loving it!

-Might go for a ruck tonight.

-405 felt so heavy because my left leg still isn’t working right…it will come around, but my form was great. we will see how i feel tomorrow

Yeah, I’ve certainly took a couple pages from meat’s book myself! Lots of great material to be found there, your thread and his both have earned bookmark status – keeps me coming back to TN!

What is double protein bread? and why coffee for meal five (I’m assuming in the evening/night)

Which ON do you buy? I bought their all-natural version or whatever…the one with no additives and flavoring besides cocoa…omg…it doesn’t taste ‘bad’ but it’s actually so bland that I have trouble drinking it straight…I usually have to cut it with some Metabolic Drive to get it down…

so are you in the States for awhile? hope you get some sort of time to recover!!

Been keeping my eye out for an ‘all natural,’ protein powder… I want something without ingredients that sound like science projects…and hold the wheat!

what’s your opinion on a supplement stack like beta-alanine, citrulline malate and BCAA’s? i’m already committing to ordering some creatine as soon as i finish this semester at university, but you seem to really dig the BCAA’s and i was wondering if you had experimented with anything else. Also, what do you think of a 4:1:1 ratio (leucine:iso:valine) rather than the normal 2:1:1 ratio?

Keep up the recovery brother, i’m sure this experience will only make you stronger.

Buck ratios, kill your protein, fish oils, and aminos – that’s the alpha way! (correct me if I’m wrong here -lol)

Double Duce: Double protein bread it just like it sounds, it is bread with twice the protein in it. i believe Peperege Farm makes it. Oh and The coffee was because i had a helish day and still had a whole lot of it in front of me. Pulled an all nighter, the coffee just helped.


Benos: you know, i am not totally sure what the specific name is, I know the have like 20 different standards. i believe mine is the gold standard one. i just buy whatever I can get in the 10lb bags. i would buy them from here if they existed! Seriously, last time i ordered protein, 50lbs of it was shipped to my place…it is like muscle making pillows stacked inside of my pantry!


MIM: Yes i am! i will actually be headed out of the country a whole lot less now because i landed an instructor gig. It is awesome so far!

*so my left leg will not work right. whether it is weakness or some weird partial paralysis…I can only lift my leg half way up…started yesterday, still going on. Calling the doctor tomorrow to see what the heck is going on…I am thinking a herniated disc high on my lower lumbar region, causing all of these issues. that is my hope at least, and hopefully I can make a full recovery…Good news is that almost all of my pain is gone!

weird, but I’d take pain any day over this not being about to move…it is like I have no left hip flexor…strangest thing ever.

anyway be careful out there…and stop making excuses, I was able to do that entire weighted vest workout posted above with only 1 & 1/2 working legs! haahahah just messing with you all, i know excuses wouldn’t ever come out of a T-nationer!
