Finally caught up on all your new videos, rough break man, sorry to hear about all that.
Regarding the puking, you mentioned stress. If they can’t find a medical cause I’d be willing to bet this has a lot to do with it. I had a 14-15 month bout where I needed to vomit daily. Some days I wouldn’t (got really good at holding it back) but others I couldn’t avoid it. I never saw a doctor because I’m an idiot, so I just tried testing foods to see if I developed a dietary allergy. Long story short, I went on a vacation, came home, moved to a new city that I like a lot more, and got myself a better job, and the problem all but vanished. I never noticed being stressed, but I think the subconscious effects were what was causing me grief.
I can imagine the timing of your injuries, competitions, gym expansion, and general life stuff combining to be a pretty rugged stress cocktail. Perhaps once some of this stuff settles down you’re stomach will follow suit.
You’ve got a lot of people pulling for you and tons of positive vibes going your way, keep on keepin’ on brotha!
Haha yes, I wouldn’t advise anyone to deal with it the way I did. My roommate tried getting me to go all the time but I just never did, now that’s it gone I tell him he imagined the whole ordeal and I was never sick.
Thanks for the kind words everyone! I finally went back to training today for the first time in like 9 months…so the Come back begins… That said, i am in the worst shape of my life and I had forgotten that lifting weight is hard hahaha! This was my day:
“The generality of mankind is lazy. What distinguishes men of genuine achievement from the rest of us is not so much their intellectual powers and aptitudes as their curiosity, their energy, their fullest use of their potentialities. Nobody really knows how smart or talented he is until he finds the incentives to use himself to the fullest.” --Sydney J. Harris

“This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being thoroughly worn out before you are thrown on the scrap heap; the being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.” --George Bernard Shaw

Wave 1/Week 1/Day 2
DEADLIFT PARTY with the Strongman Crew (Just watch the video below to see all of this)
So fist day I have tried holding any weight in my arms. Doctor says I can hold 1-5Lbs in my left hand. It is my contention that I should be able to hold 500lbs in my hands. He disagreed.
DEADLIFTS:
135x3 No Pain
225x3 No Pain
315x3 No Pian
…Stupid brain starts kicking in.
…Smart train partners say, “small Jumps”
365x3 No Pain
405x3 No Pain
…Genuine concern for if I will feel no pain before detachment like on a knee bar. Decide to go anyway.
455x3 No Pain.
…Serious discussion with training partners if it would be stupid to pull 500lbs.
…I truly thought they would say go for it.
…Training partners are smarter than me.
…They say stay at 455 and pull 3 sets of triples.
…I sulk
…I pull 455x10…Admit they were right.
The rest was a lot of assistance and messing around. But i caught it all on video.
So this one shows it all and it is much more of a Vlog where you get to experience the gym atmosphere and stuff. But I did make a (I think) cool intro for this series at the start of this one, so maybe check it out if you haven’t seen any vids lately.
