Had to cancel the hike yesterday as it was way too cold and windy for She Say and the kids. I was bummed as I was all the way down in the Shenandoah Valley picking up a half side of pork. It’s about an hour and a half from where we live.

We left the kids at home. The drive with She Say was nice as highway love was always available.

We picked up the hog and stopped at a winery on the drive back. We had their ‘tasting’ which amounted to maybe 6 oz of wine.

Fresh bacon is cooking up right now !


Here’s the pork packed away in one of my garage freezers.

Last night was date night so we went out to an Eye-talian place…I had the veal chop and sauteed spinach (instead of the pasta that comes along normally).

She Say opted for the linguini in clam sauce…

We split a bottle and a half of this chianti…I probably drank a bottle and She Say a half…more than I’d planned, but halfway through dinner she started talking about going shopping for some clothes for a party we’re going to next week.

I’m metro enough to not hate shopping, but I was trying to get loosened up to actually spend some money on myself clothes-wise as I have 1 pair of jeans, like 2-3 suitable cool shirts and the rest of my clothes are office/dress suits and ties…I haven’t bought casual clothes in maybe 4 years.

So…I lost 4 lbs from last week…3.27 of it was fat, .73 was muscle…

Good news is my abs went from 37.5 inches to 36.25…a loss of 1.25 inches…bad news is my chest went from 44.5 to 44 and my arms from 16.5 to 16…half inch lost on each…

Oh yeah…I’m still 5’9" and my penis is still 14 inches long…so no change on either of those…but I’ll keep getting the fitness center gal to take those measurements also.

On the measurements, your arms and chest only got smaller cuz you lost some subcutaneous fat. Thats GOOD news (I could use some of that).

Yesterday I went about a thousand calories below what I’ve been doing for the past week. I had about 770 calories from meataballic drive shakes and the rest through grilled turkey breasts and some spinach/cauliflower and olive oil.

I was kinda panicking from the bottle of wine I drank the night before, thinking I wouldn’t have any movement on the scale or calipers…any thoughts on occassionally taking a way-below calorie day are appreciated. My activity yesterday was limited to my 2 mile walk, which now includes roughly a quarter mile of a moderate jog.

I spotted a CrossFit afficianado in my office gym today.

I was all excited because the fitness center gals told me some new guy was asking them about power cleans and squats…so when I saw this guy front squatting today, I was a little giddy. Unfortunately, he front squatted 95 lbs about 20 times and then did some sort of somersault into a wall where he ended in a handstand…

Oh well, better this than a new treadmill hephalumph…
