not so much hipper, but trying to help a brother out before we have a musical intervention.
soon he will be working out to the beegees and thin lizzy.
It will make think sen is like skidmark and wears his shorts over the sweats.

Today’s work:
A.M.
10 sets of 10 deadlifts with 165lbs, 60 seconds rest in between.
Man, I felt these today. Sweating like a pee ee ee gee.
Music: Coheed and Cambria
P.M.
Pullups: 1530
1525
2520
Bent Rows: 45190
Front Squats: 45185
Bench: 45250
Militaries: 13150
12150
Straight Bar Curls: 3595
Man…I felt weak and beat in the P.M. session. I don’t know if it’s because I’m doing the 10*10 in the A.M. or if I’m feeling weak from let’s see…one old fashioned yesterday, 4-6 glasses of wine and about 4 ounces of brandy and creme de cacao in my after dinner coffee…had my mom and dad and She Say’s mom over for dinner and while I wasn’t wasted, I guess I put a bit of booze away…also…I’m still sucking at getting my food intake planned well for the 2 workouts…I’m either hungry, or stuffed…it’s tough because I’m basically sneaking down for the morning workout and ‘double dipping’ on the company dime.
Oh well…I’m gonna stick with the current 1010 and adjust accordingly…I dropped today’s work from my usual 55 to 4*5…I don’t know…am I weak, or not…anyway…I’m happy.
My left knee sucks !!!
Shoulder okay.
Mood: Pretty, pretty good
Music: Scorpions !!!

“Ah Ah AH AH stayin;’ alive, stayin Alive…”
the coolio hardcore gym I was at was playing oldies, but i am all metallica all the time in the gym. when it was time to “un-pod”, the speakers were blaring fire of unknown origin by Blue Oyster Cult, one of my 5 all-time favorite bands. In case you care, they are Jethro Tull, Uriah Heep, Metallica, Blue Oyster Cult, and Cream (Disraeli Gears is STILL the shizzy)
I agree with the guys over at Elite. its gotta be heavy like your weights (or in my case what you want your weights to be).
old lardass

I could actually picture lifting to this one…I’d feel a little fruity, but I’m man enought to overcome. I think Tragedy might be on the playlist also…
So I’ve been trying to make friends and influence people in the gym ever since my last run in with the ‘fan guys’. Every time I come into the gym I ask every single person if they mind if I turn on the fan on low. If everyone says yes (and who’s gonna say ‘no’ to a beast like me?) I turn on the fan. So, today I check with everyone and I’m a-ok and feeling good. I step into the locker room for a minute and someone that came in AFTER I polled everyone has turned the effing thing off. I didn’t say anything as I didn’t want the little fellah to be cold while he was doing his 35-40 sets of curls.
Is it a ‘real’ exercise when someone sits ‘backwards’ on a crunch/sit up bench so that his ass and back are against the part where you’d put your ankles and then curls with the curl bar?
Next time I go down there I’m going to grunt like a wounded animal non-stop.
Today’s Work:
Overhead Squats: 3865lbs
Bent Rows: 38160
Supersetted with
D-bell Flat Bench Presses: 3875
Elevated Deadlifts: 38195
DB Reverse Lunges from Deficit: 3840
Militaries: 28145
14.5145 (wanted to get at least one more than last week…but…it was a sucky “1”)
Walking Lunges: 3840
Shoulder Moulders: 3815
Oh yeah, Soccer update:
U10 Team (I’m Head and ONLY coach): we won 1-0
U12 Team (I’m Assist and it’s a long story) Won 6-0
U14 Team (Co-coach kinda…long story again) Lost 3-2
Nice training and cool soccer victories

Thanks.
Soccer has taken over my life. I’m actually working on starting my own recreational league. The boys and girls club I’ve commished/coordinated/coached/saved over the past 8 years finally pushed me too far. They’re saying no uniforms in the fall and no trophies for this season that the parents have already paid for with no change in dues for the fall…so…Sen Say’s Soccer School is born !
Yesterday’s work:
10 sets of 10 squats with 145 lbs and 60 seconds in between sets. Had to pause on set 9 rep 7 for some breath and paused at 5 and 8 reps on 10th set. May increase weight next Friday…muscles felt good…just cardio not cooperating !
That’s all I got in. Work was busy for the first time in a long time and I wasn’t able to get down in the a.m. for the 10*10 and I wasn’t mentally strong enough to do any other work in the same session (or maybe I’m older and wiser and don’t want to injure my weak self)
Music: Ozzy and Primus N.I.B for the whole workout !
Hit 'em hard ya old bastards !
SS- You’ll be happy to hear that during a recent workout session I went ‘old school’ 80s metal.
Some highlights included: WASP, Dokken, J.Priest, Ratt, Ozzy, and Riot
I have got to work out with you guys.

Nice ! Throw in some Loudness to represent the Far East and my hometown heroes Kix and you are good to go !

It’s $2.50 per half hour to work out with me…not sure about Steely’s rates…

Wow, that’s a bargain at half the price. For the fun afterwards, do I have to bring my own amp, or just my axe?

Akira Takasaki = awesome. The only place I’d get to listen to both Loudness and Kix, along with Rush, Triumph, et al was MuchMusic, Canada’s premier video music channel (available via dish even in rural Montana back in the day). Heavy Metal Hour sponsored by Pepsi was the greatest.
Wow, you guys may be a lot cooler (or goofier depending on the perspective) than I originally thought.

Kix indeed! I saw them at (the now defunct) Hammerjacks in Buld’more! Used to hang out in Towson quite a bit too… And the Stone Balloon (DEL). I grew up in S.Jersey, interestingly south of Baltimore.
Next thing you’re gonna tell me is that you went to Skipjacks games, too! ![]()
