Excellent.
Hey alisa, here is a progression to practice for cleans that always helped me:
Start in your conventional deadlift stance or similar with a closer stance, start by driving your heels into the floor, as the bar nears your hips, shrug the bar hard, then at the bars hightest point and you are at full extension, drop down and almost simultaneaouly drop your elbows to catch the bar. Some drop down more than others, and some move their legs laterally when they drop down as well. Here are a couple of videos of it in real time:

Keep up the good work, you are looking great.
am i supposed to know who this scott brown person is?
i know who john galt is,but i think thats a diff situation.
I like you, so you get a serious answer:
he was the Republican candidate in the Massachusetts special election today. He beat Martha Coakley, the Democrat. If you’re latte-sippin’ liberal scum like me, this is bad, bad news because it kills the supermajority in the Senate. Sets the progressive agenda back forty years. If you can’t afford insurance (and that’s going to include nearly all my friends next year, though hopefully I’ll be safe in grad school) this should be PERSONALLY worrisome.
On the upside, partisan rage does turn out to be good gym motivation!
squat: 10@45, 10@65, 5@85, 5@95, 5@115, 5@135, 5@145, 5@155 (rep PR!) 3@165 (PR!)
standing overhead press: 10@45, 10@55, 5@65, 5@70 (rep PR!) 2@75 (PR!)
bradford press: 9/5/6@50
upright row: 3x10@50
RDL’s: 10@65, 5@115, 5@135, 5@155, 3@175 (PR!)
(these were quite hard. I think my hamstrings need work. My flexibility definitely needs work – it hurt a little just to get down to the bar.)
bent knee dragon flag negatives: 3x10. Hardest ab exercise I’ve done yet. I think I love these.
Heracles, thanks for the links.

Just pr’ing away are ya, way to go and keep it up!
I see what u did there. I like it. And ftr, yes. I am too lazy to google.
Congrats on all the PR’s, woman. you deserve them.
I have to ask… how was it? Lifting while angry. I loooove it.
It’s freaking amazing. I felt invincible.
Given the likely electoral situation for 2010, I think I’m going to have an AWESOME year of gym gains.
Math, lifting, and crazy left? A girl after my own heart…
We aim to please.
partisan rage ftw!!! love it, fellow lefty. =+)
Oh, ravioli…why did I eat you?
Well, one cheat meal in two weeks ain’t bad.

Because ravioli is delicious.
Dinky 3-mile run.
Wow! I’m late to the party.
Alisa, you look fantastic! And yeah, that’s quite the situation you got going. Tri-state unite, be-yatch!
The BW work/sprinting you did is amazing! That is exactly what I should be doing for conditioning and instead of cardio.
No doubt, impressive lifting.
raises fist in solidarity
Why thank you! (phew, I was hoping someone would get the reference.)
I find I have less patience for long slow cardio these days… I feel more accomplished with sprinting, and it’s over quicker.
Sprints rule! Just not when its cold
Yeah I’m waiting for the weather to improve before I go outdoors again (and hoping dodgy foot will behave, too).
Alisa, you look fucking awesome. Just thought I’d say.
Felt shitty and stiff and did nothing more but cardio on the stationary bike.
