I suppose there’s some logic to that.
great mile time.
nice work.
5x5 is a classic scheme it works.
and with both squats and deads
more ass, more arch more rest are essential
nice work
Another form day. Festina lente and all that.
deadlifts:
5@65, 5@85, 5@105, 5@115, 5@135
Tried for more, but it was getting ugly.
incline bench: 5@25, 5@30, 5@35, 5@40 (PR!)
squat:
5@45, 5@65, 5@85, 5@95
these were all ass and very beautiful. 95 is about where I lose my arch. I like going heavier but didn’t have time today.
hypers: 3x10@35
machine row: 5@48, 3x5@98
I feel like Miss Piggy lately. Used the Month of Food as an excuse to have bread & dessert. I think I’ll go back to low-carb (but try to still eat enough.)
Gets frustrating… I don’t have the strength or the appearance of someone who goes to the gym.

i think what you don’t have is patience. =+)
if you really want something… set a realistic goal in a realistic time frame and just fucking DO what it takes to get it. without second guessing urself every step of the way.
easier said than done of course… but worth a shot. floundering gets old fast.
alright…enough debbie downer.
this log always makes me hungry for choc chip cookies!
Why not have your bread and desert? It it more emotional or affecting you physically?
All right!
Why are you depriving yourself of bread and dessert? It’s not like you’re fat.
Well I got the impression from reading around here (Chris Shugart, FA, etc.) that nobody should really eat that stuff.
Try reading Dave Tate.lol
If you can have your cake and eat it too, then why not!!
I can’t… pouts

Fuck yea it is
alisa, firstly you look fantastic, secondly as for your goal i believe you’re trying to get stronger, right? You said above you like training heavy, so why not make it 2for2 and not only enjoy training but enjoy eating as well. As mom in md put it, have your cake and eat it too.
As for what Chris Shugart was saying, if you’re trying to lose weight, or eat really healthy all the time, then don’t eat cake and bread. I believe it has something to so with spiking your insulin levals too much, making it harder to maintain/lose weight. But when your goals have to do with gaining/getting stronger, you have alot more leeway. / hijack
Keep working at it you’re doing great! ![]()

Festina lente, indeed. I lose my squat form right at 90-95# too. So I understand the frustrating. Getting better slowly is still getting better!
yesterday’s food:
1589 kcal, p/f/c 142.5/70.3/80.5
squats:
5@45, 5@65, 5@85, 5@95, 3@115, 5@115 (kept the arch!)
bench:
5@45, 5@65, 5@85, 5@95, 5@100, 4@105, 1@110 and promptly got the bar on my face on the second rep. Had to yell for help. Let no one say I lack for boldness.
cleans:
5@65, 5@75, 5@85
hypers: 5x10@35
lat pulldowns: 5@90, 3x5@100
food: 1924 kcal, p/f/c 150.3/94.0/74.8

No-one round here sees a lack of boldness.
Steady progress. Nice.
Alisa, do you have a microwave or a fridge in your dorm room?
I remember living in the barracks for awhile, and I know how hard it is to eat well! But they have these cool steamer bags nowadays…if you don’t have a mic but a fridge, maybe you can load up your veggies into your bag and use the mic in the cafeteria? Do they at least have a decent salad bar? Spinach even?
