What style do you train and what kind of competition?

If I’m drinking beer it’s Guinness, besides that I have wine or something mixed. I don’t get drunk often…maybe once a year, tops. Mostly just a drink when out with friends or with dinner.

I am 19 years old, and in college. I have never consumed alcohol (many temptations to throw party’s). Nor will I in the future.
I try to live a very health life.

I go through phases where I drink and some when I don’t. Usually, during the winter months I don’t drink but during the spring/summer I generally have a glass or two of wine a few nights a week and a few beers on the weekend. I haven’t noticed it hurting my training and since I am a lot more active in the summer I don’t notice any fat gain.

After reading the responses, it looks like Im the only one on the board that drinks or parties hard. I usually drink quite a bit over the weekends. I typically get pretty drunk on Fri and Sat. Not uncommon to put down 15+ drinks in a night (my tolerance is high). Besides beinf an Arizona State Alumni (BIG party school for those who don’t know), I also play rugby, and drinking is part of the tradition of the game. Plus, I live in a beach town in SoCal, where EVERYBODY drinks and parties all the time. I stay away from the booze during the week and eat real clean during the week also. It may hurt my gym a little, but I still go 210 @ 9% BF w/ 350+ bench. Maybe its the Irish in me that lets me get away with it. HA
