No fucking kidding! The mind boggles.
Today, boys and girls, we’re going to learn about bigotry and prejudice.
And the guy has the gall to get upset when he gets called Nuthunter.
Its easy to sit back in your comfortable chair and say those things, when you’re well-protected by a bunch of young Marines. Its easy to say that stuff in a liberal democracy where rights are respected.
Now, if I typed or said this in Iran or Saudi Arabia or Syria…
You gents are taking our hardearned freedoms for granted.
If you want Muslim government officials, move there. The fact that you don’t and would never dream of doing so might prompt someone to ask, “Why?”…

I know this may be hard to believe, but everyone doesn’t think like you. I would never even think of voting against someone because they were muslim. That has never even occurred to me. You should be asking why that matters so much to you. I guess we won’t be getting a black president any time soon either.

Those “hard earned freedoms” you’re talking about, are they the ones that say that a muslim is free to run for office and that voters are free to elect him?
If so, what’s your problem? You’re all for freedom and democracy until you get a result you don’t like? Then it’s “let ship them back home” and “why don’t you move there?”
It seems to me that you’re the one who doesn’t like living in a free, democratic country.
Yes,HH’s line of argument also brings up just what kind of elected representatives are 'OK".
Presumably white, anglo saxon protestants are the way to go…
And the rest can just suck it up and leave if they don’t like it.
Astonishing stuff.

Well, you have to consider that there’s never been a single case of either fraud, bribery, criminal activity, trafficking of influence, sleeping with minors, abuse of power, or any other unsavory activity from that group.
They’re a pretty trustworthy lot, those WASPs.

I don’t like someone with very fundamentally different beliefs in my government. If he had to be part of a government fighting a Muslim country, where would his loyalties lie? You people are going to get a nuke up your asses, all in the name of ‘open-mindedness’.
Muslims are very different from westerners. Their thinking is so radically different, they are not fit to have positions of power in our country.
If you guys love 'em so much, go fucking live there. We don’t want you. And maybe it’ll sink in THEN how Muslims think.
Fucking unthinking lib saps…[/quote]
Thread over. This is proof you are a racist pig.
He is an AMERICAN. You can be Muslim and western at the same time.
Islam is a religion, not a nationality.
Are you opposed with Jews in Congress? How about Catholics?
Atheists? Agnostics? Buddhists? Taoists?
How about socialists? Corporation owners? Marxists? Adam Smith fanatics?
If the American people want it, it’s in. That is democracy.
For someone whose constantly whining about how the dems are communist hacks, you sure do sound like an anti-democratic douche bag.

Plus quite a few of them apparently talk to god directly, another attribute that is not to be underrated.
Gives you an ‘inside track’ on what is going to happen…and that has to be a good thing.

Headhunter,
You claim to be a patriot. You claim to support the government. I call you out as what you really are. A seperatist. A racist. A psuedo patriot who doesn’t believe in the United States, but instead believes in a country where all are welcome as long as “those people” know thier place.
You and your kind make me sick.
Don’t ever thank another member of the military for their service. Stop sending your silly gift baskets to service members. Don’t stain those noble warriors with your filth. The worst part of being in the military is that I have to defend fuckers like you.
Feel free to write some internet tough guy crap in reply. Please go into great detail (again) about how much of a badass you are. Threaten me if you feel like it. I’m not interested in your reply. It is time you left this forum.

Huh? Did you know that the official you’re speaking of swore in using Thomas Jefferon’s Koran?
In any event, fortunately America has a separation of church and state. Thus, I dont’ care what religion an elected official is.
I will say this, absent the Establishment Clause, I would be afraid of electing Muslims or Christians.
Imagine a country controlled by Pat Robertson. {shivers}

I think it is a little scary that elections are being won based on how “outwardly religious” a POLITICIAN claims to be.
I guess the claim that all politicians lie doesn’t apply if they claim to speak directly with God every night and get answers back.
"However, in testimony before the U.S. State Department in 1999, Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, chairman of the Islamic Supreme Council of America, affirmed most of the mosques in the U.S. are run by extremists.
“We would like to advise our government, our congressmen, that there is something big going on and people do not understand it,” he said. “You have many mosques around the United States … . So the most dangerous things are going on in these mosques that have self appointed leaders throughout the United States. The extremist ideology makes them very active. We can say that they took over 80 per cent of the mosques in the United States … . This means that the ideology of extremism has been spread to the youth and the new generation.”

Just like someone may not yell ‘Fire’ in a crowded movie threatre, I don’t believe in open mindedness in so far as those views are diametrically opposite to what I and most Americans believe in. The list of what I believe in was posted earlier. Muslims DO NOT believe in those things.
I do not accept anyone’s ‘right’ to murder me. I oppose the fundamental belief of Muslims (Sharia Law) and the subjection of the self. If someone wants to practice that or promote that, go where most people believe that. This is a country of Reason, not Sharia Law.
"The Sharia should be opposed for its imposition of theocracy over democracy, its abuse of human rights, its institutionalized discrimination, its denial of human dignity and individual autonomy, its punishment of alternative lifestyle choices, and for the severity of its punishments.
In the west, in countries that have a sizable Muslim population, there have been calls for the Sharia to be adopted for the Muslim community. These calls should be vigorously opposed; the Sharia conflicts with many basic human values, such as equality before the law, that punishments should be commensurate with the crime, and that the law must be based on the will of the people. The Sharia as it developed in the first few centuries of Islam incorporated many pre-Islamic Middle-Eastern misogynist and tribal customs and traditions. The Sharia was developed not only from the Holy Quran but incorporates legal principles from other sects. We may ask how a law whose elements were first laid down over 1,000 years ago can possibly be relevant in the 21st century. The Sharia reflects the social and economic conditions at the time of the Abbasids and has become further and further out of touch with later social, economic, technological, cultural and moral developments. The principles of the Sharia are inimical to moral progress, humanity and civilized values."

Are you this fucking STOO-PID? How is opposing a religion racist? Does might make right, since if the people vote for it, they must be right? The Germans voted Hitler into power.
You are not a serious poster. You truly don’t have a clue. Fly away, little gnat…
Oh, and Jews and Christians don’t have Sharia Law as their premise, SFB.

This is the first bit of truth that you have ever written. You don’t like anyone who doesn’t think, act and believe EXACTLY like you do. This applies to about 99.99999999% Of the USA.
The last time I checked, the man was born and raised in the USA. So how is his thinking different than other westerners? This excludes you, of course, because YOUR thinking is radically different than most westerners.
