Air America Ratings Disaster

Joe, Zeb,

Alright you two, who pissed in your cheerios this morning? Using extreme arguments of a hysterical nature without much substance shows a strong feeling.

Pick whichever one you like.

However, I would suggest that “neocon” is to conservative as “ultra” is to liberal. These represent someone out on the edge as opposed to being nearer the middle, no?
No. I stand by my statement that neocons are essentially a liberal media term for Republicans who’re no longer willing to retire to the shadows and pretend they didn’t win and haven’t won.

And why do we have to be hysterical (hyster-from the female, btw, if we were anything it would be “testerical”, ) to be fed up?
You get fed up occasionally here on the boards and lash out at some of us, does that make you hysterical (as opposed to testerical, you see…) or just fed up and tired?

As for the pissing in the cheerios…that would be you, bud.
Every post, another squirt.
I wish you’d drink a little more water.

Joe,

If you are going to complain about the nature of many of my posts, criticize me every way you can think of, then it’s quite possible I’m going to reply and annoy you.

Anyhow, glad to see you invested in a dictionary. Congrats!

  1. Not so.
I offered you friendship. You fucked me over. I don’t deal well with that.

  2. Why would I need a dictionary? I graduated from college in 4 and a half years with something like 5 majors.
I know you get your rocks off denigrating the intelligence of anyone who disagrees with you, but sometimes you assume far too much and prove that cute little saying.

Man, you are taking things way too personally (in my opinion). Agreeing with something I stated or agreeing that someone else was being unreasonable hardly qualifies as an offer of friendship. If it was something else, I’m afraid I missed it.

Quite simply. Stand up for what you believe in and expect everyone else to do the same. I’m truly sorry that you are often annoyed by my comments, but I don’t consider it my job to ensure that everyone “likes” me.

If you continue to offer personal attacks, I’ll continue to annoy the hell out of you. Sounds fair to me. And yes, I certainly do (and have admitted to this regularly) offer my fair share of personal attacks.

This has nothing to do with “liking” or “disliking” you. It has to do with the nature of the forums, especially ones not dealing with fitness and nutrition.

Finally, if you have so much brainpower, I’d truly like to see examples of it in use on the forums. You are wasting your talents with the quippy comments and snide jokes (again, just my opinion).

Happy trails.

I like quips and jokes. We have enough guys like you to turn the place leaden.

It’s a damn bodybuilding message board. We’re not saving the world here. I’m sorry you seem to think you are somehow.

Funny, that’s not what you were saying in the PM’s, or come to think of it what you said when you distanced yourself from something I said–when what I said was “yeah, vroom’s right” and you come back with “Don’t lump me in with JW on this…he doesn’t know what he’s talking about and he’s a fucking idiot”…
You’re a mealy mouthed little coward.
Straight up.

I’m not sure you know what a coward is Joe, but hey this looks like a job for the search tool!

Is this the thread Joe?

http://www.t-nation.com/readTopic.do?id=619298

Here is what I said…
Watson, don’t blame me for Joe’s comments.

Anyway, since this was described as a lump or a cyst, it didn’t seem to match the description of gyno.

Maybe it is gyno. Perhaps there are hormonal issues at play for some reason which are skewing the T/E ratio.
Then, here is what you wrote…
Hang on vroomster, all I did was agree with you, how the fuck did I become the bad guy for agreeing with your fucking comments?
Sometimes you really are an asshole.
If this wasn’t the thread, perhaps you can point me to the correct one? If this is the correct one, I don’t mind if you dislike me, but I’d appreciate a bit more effort on accuracy.

And you have a lot of class… :frowning:
ZEB wrote:

Did it ever occur to you vroom that we are not afraid but fed up?
Fed up because movies are made about natural disasters that depict an event that you personally don’t think will happen? Fed up because of a chick flick that discusses abortions in the vein of allowing a woman to have control of her own body? What exactly are you fed up with? Please, be specific. I want to truly learn what has offended you so. Are you going to use Janet’s .8 second flashed nipple as ammunition for why “liberals” are to blame for every disfunction in society?

One thing I am fed up with is the ridiculous whining. In line with what we were discussing, if “conservative” movies are so missed, why aren’t they being created to fill such a void? What EXACTLY do you want some movies to be about? Could you describe a plot that you feel you would like to see that would do well at the box office?

I await your response to see if you can answer the questions asked or at least quote me directly without forming generalizations about what you think I am trying to say.

Yes, actually. I’m kind of shocked you’d notice it though.

Prof X, I will agree with you that there has been exaggeration on how many movies have a visible liberal agenda, however you seem to be claiming you do not notice a liberal agenda in any movies.

Perhaps I just read you wrong.

Or maybe you just aren’t reading at all. I don’t know how I could possibly make my stance any clearer than has been written in this thread almost a dozen times. Why don’t you tell me what is missing that makes my posts so apparently unclear.
I guess your stance is clear:

Alternate between denying that political messages appear in films and then insult those who notice political messages in films.

You usually formulate much better arguments.

“Conservative” messages do appear in films.

The heroes of Armageddon are oil drillers that use nuclear weapons to save the earth from destruction. They also ask to be exempted from paying taxes for life.

Doesn’t look like a “liberal” movie to me.

The “hero” in The Day After Tomorrow was a father who (being well established and well of financially) just wanted to restore order to his family by saving his kid. Is that a liberal idea?

Prof:

Those damn Liberals and their conspiracy to take over the American Way of Life! (Hell…I bet they want to change the American Desert from Apple Pie to Cranberry Pop tarts, damn 'em!)

By the way, Prof…don’t you think that these would have made MUCH better non-Liberal, All-American viewing?

  1. Ann Coulter as Riply in “Alien”?

  2. Carl Rohv and Rush Limbaugh in “Lethal Weapon”?

  3. “Suvivor”: “Red State Edition?”

And that damn Super Bowl…at least it could have been Debbie Boones Boob, while she sang “You Light Up My Life”, doncha’ think?

WE MUST END THE CONSPIRACY NOW!!!

I didn’t see the movie. As I understand it is also about climate change.

The “left” has seized greenhouse gas induced global warming as an issue these last few years.

I believe this is why some have called it a “liberal” movie although I do not know what causes the climate change in the movie.

I think the Mage has it correct. Many in Hollywood are left of center in their political beliefs and sometimes it shows up in films. Nothing wrong with that.

I do not see a conspiracy. They are in it for the money. Blatant propaganda will likely not make as much money.

Well, I am willing to bet that many "liberals’ accept the possibility of us being hit by an asteroid eventually so that puts it right there with the movie you mentioned, does it not? The movie contained no form of trying to change anyone’s political stance.

Mufasa, how dare you slander one of the greatest female heros liberal Hollywood has ever put forth. Ripley was the first female I ever considered a hero type and would have gladly followed her to the gates of hell. Coulter I would just want to ensure a one way ticket to the gates of hell.

I am sure I’ll get roasted alive after this one, but honestly a lot of the conservatives seem like big cry babies who bitch and complain endlessly. I don’t think anything will make them happy they could live in utopia and I’m sure we would still hear them bitchin bout something.

THANK YOU, Zap!

A Movie blatantly pushing an agenda and/or position will:

  1. Be in limited release and/or

  2. Be in Documentary Form and/or

  3. Be on Pay TV, and as Zap said,

  4. WILL NOT MAKE ANY MONEY!

Prof X, as I stated I did not see The Day After Tomorrow so I cannot offer substantial comment.

That goes both ways my fellow Clint fan.
