Pot calling kettle…

I appreciate your tactic of going on the offensive over whining.

I know you are fully aware that the Democrats are off the bitch, whine, and moan scale.

Hell, they are the Barons of Bitching, the Counts of Crying, the Generals of Gloom, the Dukes of Doom, etc…

Don’t believe me? Pull up a howarddean speech. Listen to reid/pelosi/boxer etc.

Again, nice job going on the offensive. It may be the only way to defend an untenable position.

I approve!!!

Have not not heard Senate Minority Leader Reid, speak? Holy mother of god - the guy sounds like he just had a soy latte with a side of estrogen injections.

I’ll be happy when we hunt down and shoot the last living liberal, until then - happiness is just an illusion.

So, your goal is to match that?

When you come to shoot this liberal will you come your self or send someone else to do your dirty work? I’ll be waiting either way.

There is no match to the liberals when it comes to whinng like a baby. Spoiled brats.

For you, elk - I figure I’ll come up myself. We can share a bottle of Weller’s, talk about old times and get all misty eyed before we get down to business.

I think it is pretty apparent that many of you are damned good at it. I haven’t seen anyone on these boards whine as much about everything from movies and the Superbowl to newspapers and random comedians. You claim there isn’t a match. I would say you all have surpassed them.

Each other? No, no, no…you must have mis understood. I will kill you. There’s no “each other” in the deal. If I’m going all the way up to CO with a bottle of whiskey it would be a bad host that kills his guest.

I must say if we have gotten under your skin even a little bit. If we have caused even the slightest irritation with our alleged superior bitching skills - well it was all worth it.

I didn’t mention anything about skin irritation. You all complain about others complaining. You complain about this and that and how “they” are taking over everything. In this thread alone, we have gone from some strange attempt by the media to put the military in a bad light in all movies to police officers being portrayed as idiots to everyone finally admitting that there is no conspiracy. That equals blatant whining and has nothing to do with my skin. You are as guilty as anyone in the public that you blame for the same act. Why you can’t see that is amazing to me. You are mad at “them” for being just like “you”. Odd really.

It doesn’t bother you, yet you have wasted three posts on this subject. In fact other than me and elk’s MAD meeting, you are the only lib to pipe up.

That’s odd.

Yeah, especially since I’m not a liberal. That IS odd.

Isn’t it true that many people drawn to the artistic arena are going to be more liberal and vocal in their thinking. Why is it a surprise when Sean Penn or Susan Sarandon want to express themselves and the way that they feel. We all to an extent do that’s why we’re here posting on a forum.

Rainman or jerffy if you’re jealous that Tim Robbins has a wider audience then you do go make some movies then your opinions can be on the E network as well as Penn’s.

I also agree with the others who said that ultimately it’s about the almighty dollar. If it’s gonna make money it’s going to be made into a movie. Conservative or liberal.

I could be wrong here but if we made a movie that didn’t show any bad cops or abortion or sex it would be kinda lame. Comparable to an episode of Leave it to Beaver without of course any Beaver.
Who would go see it beside the most devout.

I certainly don’t like everything coming out of Hollywierd not by a long shot. In fact, I think most of it is crap and in my opinion the best movies with a real entertaining story came out in the late 60’s and through the seventies and mid eighties. If people can’t already tell from some of my silver screen heros.

rainmans world where everyone agrees with him or is beaten down doesn’t seem like a very friendly nice place to be. I am liberal in my thinking I will always try to look at everyones point of view and offer them respect if respect is shown. In fact, I will go out of my way to show hospitality, but the minute you throw dirt in my face or tell me I’m not a man because I don’t agree with you or your way of thinking then you better get them dogs up because we are gonna have problems.

Diversity and creativity should be celebrated extreme conservativeness stifles this and wants to keep everyone lock-stepping backwards. The Taliban and extremist Muslims are very conservative in their thinking and like rainman want to destroy anyone that doesn’t think like them.

You just keep trying to convince yourself of that. Your rhetoric and your alliances prove you wrong at every turn.

They don’t have the right to be listened to. No one does.

Hardly jealous, elkman. Just not willing to put more money in their wallet.

I don’t think anyone has disputed that Hollywood is in it for the money - at least I haven’t. But you can make shitloads of money and make political/social statements at the same time.

I’m only like this down here, Not because I want to beat down everyone that disagrees with me - but because I love to argue. My world is just as normal as anyone elses. Kids, school activities, work, training, wife. To draw the conclusion that I am this monster from what you read in the political forums is selling me just a tad short.

I disagree - And I’m offended that you would equate me to the taliban. Was it the “shoot all liberals” remark? Dude - I was joking. If you were offended by that remark, I take it back.

I want my side to win everytime we take the field. I won’t apologize for that. But that is a looooong way from extremist.

I think someone should make a case that the media is conservative over all.

Why don’t one of you liberals try that!

Vroom care to give that a shot?

If the people behind movies, television and the recording industry are not liberal and they are not conservative then they are the very first group of their size which has absolutely no political slant at all!

They are perfect! Right down the middle!

LOL

Yes. When they deviate from a script, they sure make asses of themselves!!!

“Why is it a surprise when Sean Penn or Susan Sarandon want to express themselves and the way that they feel.”

Personally, I like it when “celebrities” discuss the issues. They usually do more harm to the causes they champion.

“We all to an extent do that’s why we’re here posting on a forum.”

True.

“Rainman or jerffy if you’re jealous that Tim Robbins has a wider audience then you do go make some movies then your opinions can be on the E network as well as Penn’s.”

My audience is far larger than Robbins. I take offence at that remark!!!

“I also agree with the others who said that ultimately it’s about the almighty dollar. If it’s gonna make money it’s going to be made into a movie. Conservative or liberal.”

Exactly. But, to deny that the “Day after Tomorrow” wasn’t aimed directly at the left, is also silly.

"I could be wrong here but if we made a movie that didn’t show any bad cops or abortion or sex it would be kinda lame. Comparable to an episode of Leave it to Beaver without of course any Beaver.

Also true.

“I certainly don’t like everything coming out of Hollywierd not by a long shot. You are in danger of becoming a reasonable poster!!!

I love you, man.

“rainmans world where everyone agrees with him or is beaten down”

Sounds good (because I agree with him!!!)

“doesn’t seem like a very friendly nice place to be. I am liberal in my thinking I will always try to look at everyones point of view and offer them respect if respect is shown. You are not a man because you don’t think exactly like me.

Eat some dirt.

“Diversity and creativity should be celebrated extreme conservativeness
stifles this and wants to keep everyone lock-stepping backwards.”

Not always. Remember not every idea is worth a damn. Just to say you are different doesn’t mean much.

See the second Woodstock.

“The Taliban and extremist Muslims are very conservative in their thinking and like rainman want to destroy anyone that doesn’t think like them.”

That was pretty harsh.

However, if the Joe Lieberman’s in the Democratic party aren’t given serious leadership positions, I won’t lose any sleep over the demise of the Democrats.

There is too much,
“I’m a Democrat.”

“What is a Democrat?”

“It’s the Anti-Republican.”

See Dean.

If this continues, hello Whig-dom!!!
