Aggression, brotherhood

I haven’t taken a lot of time to compose this, so hopefully it will make some sense. I once heard a quote that has stuck with me, and i don’t know where it came from: “Any arguement taken long enough will end up in semantics.” I’ve seen too many posts get hijacked into a mud slinging contest, folks get all hot and bothered by some slight sent to their chosen form of training, ethnicity, etc. I’m not going to quote Rodney King here, but it seems we have more in common than we have differences. We’re all human (with the possible exception of Monkeyboy Eric, you’re just inhuman dude :^), we all bleed red, and we’re all united by a passion for IRON. We are all here for an exchange of information and ideas. We all are seeking to better ourselves. If we put all the passion and energy that’s expended here in catfights into more positive pursuits, we could probably accomplish something great. There is power in unity. The thread on the FDA is a good example. We could make our voices heard as a united VOICE. Our differences are slight, so let’s not get mired in the petty stuff.

i am an infrequent visitor to the ‘steroids and other drugs’ part of t- mag forum, so correct me if i’m wrong (or, in fact don’t bother - i don’t care) but i thought that the dudes on that part were far more helpful, to the point and very informed. quite against the steroid stereotype of aggressive, stupid and ignorant about training. it is a shame that so many posts do devolve into mud slinging. i think we can learn something from our geared brothers

I agree Brider. Great Quote.

thank you for the great comment

Fuck you buddy.

I like a good argument, just hope no one thinks I’ve resorted to mudslinging in any way. I think on the up side, if you can keep a level head while disagreeing with someone it’s a good way to learn something. On the other hand, it would definitely suck to get your post hijacked, so I’ll try to tone it down in the future or create another post if I feel like discussing something with someone further. Anyway, great post, man.

I am in total agreement that posts often get hijacked I have done it to a degree and I have often (though yes probably too late) appoligised. but I realy don’t know what someone is supposed to do sometimes. I NEVER make an argument personal untill someone else does. I just voice my OPINION and often get personaly attacked. people should be able to dissagree and that should be it. does not matter who you dissagree with or what it is about. peace

I don’t know why anyone, especially a T-Mag staffer, would personally attack a lovable asshole like Hetyey225. Smile big guy…just joshing. However, some people should be personally attacked…like Jason Baran. Not only verbally attacked but whipped, beaten, kicked, stoned, castrated, mutilated, etc. for his Nazi, KKK and woman hating posts. Society should not “just ignore” bigots. I do notice though that he has not been around since I drove by his house in my very noticeable F350 and horse van after telling him I was coming and that I would like to have a cup of mud with him. I would like to think I did a public service for T Dom but I suspect he is likely locked up again in a looney bin.
