Age That You Reached Your Peak

Doc:

No worries. I hear you on nostalgia. I met my wife when I was 28. She was 22. The pure, ecstatic abandon of those first several months with the person you know is the one probably can never quite be replicated. Plus, sex at that time was a great excuse not to study contracts or property law.

You too, pushhharder? You’re killin’ me.
Doc

Just to enlighten the thread, I’m 26, and reading this does seem depressing. However, I know quite a few athletes that peaked later on. I do not know the exact ages, so I apologise for that, but here goes:

-Jud logan, famous hammer thrower, had a PR of 440 lbs with his power clean at age 38
-troy douglas, dutch sprinter, pr’ed his 100m time age 39
-Doc Rivers was rumoured to have improved his vertical jump when he had passed age 30
-Aslambek Ediev, pr’ed his total and clean & jerk at age 37
-Fred Hatfield squatted a grand age 53

There’s quite a few more like this. Sure, elasticity passes quickly after 30, but strength can be built for a long time, maybe even some of that explosion. Don’t quit, it’s only one life you’re living!

I would like to know when women peak. That would be useful.
I think it depends somewhat on genetics and just how effective your training is. I’m 40, and way stronger than I’ve ever been and making weekly progress in terms of volume. I’ve been training for many years, however I now know that the much of training I had in the past was pretty much crap. Thankfully, that has not stopped me from making good progress now.
Jack, you seem pretty interested in women’s training, is there a reason for this?

Have any of the discussions you are participating in helped you find out more about the female perspective in regards to training?

Have you modified any of your approaches to achieve better results?
Are you, in fact, a female? (just curious)

I’d be happy to respond to any questionns you may have about training for females, from an active participant’s view, not a professional trainer’s.

Twat’s this? It was a question regarding a woman’s sexual peak.

I’m not a female if that was a lame attempt at an insult. I was interested in how a trainer tweaks a program for his/her clients but the questions were just too cruel and unsupportive for you girls.

No, not trying to insult you at all.
I thought that you were asking about training performance peak, not sexual peak.
Unsupportive, yes, cruel, no.

Arnoud, thanks for sharing that list.

My cardio vascular peak was in my early 20s, but I’m focussing on strength now and have never been stronger than my next workout.

As for cuantas veces en un día, well, for me it was more like cuantas horas por encuentro sin cansarse, so she could have a lot of veces.

Sabor a mi…

Quince cuantas veces en dos días one month ago at the relatively young age of cuarenta y siete with cuatro different senoras and un senorita. (Assisted by Aspire in this particular case and ye can PM me senora for her confirmation and verification)
Increible! Usted puede trabajar en los peliculas pornographias.
And you just must have a better prostate than me. That’s all I’m conceding because I have very big…feet. Seriously, for me its not the erections but the orgasms that are harder to get. But I think you’ve convinced me I could get to some better quantity at my age if I had cuatro differente senoras and un senorita.

Necesito mas las chicas!

I have to say; I can’t keep up with some of the sexual shenanigins of some of the previous more senior posters…not at my 35 years anyhow.
Still, I can nostalgically say that in my late teens/early twenties, it was quite normal to clean the pipes 4 or 5 times a night - and on one ‘whole-day’ session, I managed to reach 10 ‘cork-pops’. Granted - passed 5, the sex drive was satiated but I carried on just for the sake of it. Plus neither of us could walk the next day, and I thought I’d done irrepairable damage to my old boy…

Still, I knew my plumbing was in trusty order!

I’d have to say for looks/physique/confidence/success with women, and general ‘alpha’ wellbeing…I peaked at 28. I felt pretty unstoppable at that age and having just finished a long-term relationship, made good use of any attributes I had.

Nowadays, I think I’m more focused on (and work harder at) keeping my BF% in single digits year round, whereas I would find 12-13% acceptable for probably half the year in my twenties.

In my experience though, 30 was when I noticed the ageing process for the first time(I miss my old hairline).

I hereby publicly retract any of my earlier posts on this thread. My wife’s HRT finally kicked in, including her low dose T, and she asked me if I thought it was still possible to do it muchas veces cada dia like in the “good old days.” And she asked me if I would like some company in the bedroom.
Holy shit. Look out, pushharder. Doc

GO DR PC!!!

Pusharder’s record is still intact. But it was a PR for me for the last fiteen years. There really is hope for us old fuckers. Doc

I am 35, and have been getting better with age. The best I ever looked was actually at 33 when I was training for bodybuilding and got down to low BF.

Now I am doing powerlifiting again, which was my sport of choice to begin with. I do alright at the 198lb class too.

For cardio, all I do is indoor soccer and it seems to work. I hit the iron pile 4-5 times a week and push and pull heavy.
