OK, I have looked far and wide for this, so please excuse the perceived laziness. I need to know the name of, and I hate to call it this, an aerobic machine. Its description, I’ll give you a few for giggles, its a machine in which you run, but your body is oriented horizontally, or here is another description… Its a machine in which you do the bottom position of burpees, alternating foot position. I think the exercise is called mountain climbers or something? Any clue? My gym had one for one day, some rep brought it in, I and a few others tried it, salesman never came back in, owner doesn’t remember company nor machine name. Please help!!!
My junior high had one called Reel Runner. Made a heck of a lot of noise (like a giant socket wrench constantly ratcheting), and had adjustable tension. Bitch of a machine. Don’t know if that brand is still around, and I’m sure they’ve made improvements in the design/
Sounds like a bed to me. Try Sealy or PosturePedic. ![]()
I wanna say “elliptical trainer”
Didn’t see “horizontal” so “strike” elliptical trainer and put in it’s place “mystery” ![]()

We have one at our gym, I think it’s called a Cross-Robic machine, but I’m not sure. I’ll check tomorrow morning and post it up. No one uses it though, and when I tried it, I didn’t like it, my 2 cents.
I checked the machine this morning, and if we’re talking about the same one, it’s made by StairMaster, and it’s called the CrossRobics 1650 LE. Hope that helped.
CrossRobics? I used one once. Great if you want a big ass. There are MANY much more balanced aerobic machines out there.
The orientation of those is wrong. The machine I was referring to is prone, not decline. The closest I have seen is the tiger strength systems power runner, but admittedly, the one I used wasn’t nearly as heavy duty. Tiger strength systems is actually more inclined, the cheaper knock off I used was nearly prone. (quick lesson, prone is on the bone, supine you’re on the spine.) Thanks for looking though, I appreciate it!
