Hey guys, I’m hoping to get some insight on buying knee wraps.
I’m pretty new to the game(lifting for 2 years), and I haven’t competed yet, but I plan on doing so in the next year or so, and have been pondering the idea of some knee wraps.
My best squat has been 365(325x5)
Just belted with rehband blues that I wear every squat session because my knees aren’t 100%.
Now, I’ve searched around and get a definitive answer on what brand or specific wrap to go with. I’ve considered the inzer Z’s and the a few different elite FTS wraps… I hope someone has a good suggestion that could help, I appreciate it!
I’ve got a pair of the Elitefts normal knee wraps and my squat is in the same area as you. I’ve got no complaints. I definately get some weight out of them. They also happen to be on sale at the moment
I’ve tried several different types of wraps. The metal all black, the inzer z wrap, the titan rpm, and the titan thp. By far I feel like out of those options the titan thp is the best material. These were all wrist wraps so I’d take my advice with a grain of salt. As far as knee wraps I’ve only used the z wraps and the thp. This is just my opinion based on the wraps that I’ve tried. Others may tell you something else, but the thp material I just feel to be superior compared to the metal and inzer wraps.
I’ve only tried the Inzer all blacks and they were pretty decent, but then I don’t have much to compare them too. If you have a specific federation that you plan on competing in make sure the ones you get are legit for that fed.
I plan on competing in an SPF comp this november. I saw they allow up to 3m wraps, and all the ones in consideration are 2.5s so I think I’d be good.
I posted on BB.com asking the same question, I got recommended the titan rpms, anyone tried these? For the record I squat with med-wide stance, and plan on staying raw as far as competing.

I have the Inzer Z’s, 2.5m. They’re great. Initially I had them on too tight and I wasn’t used to it, so the numbness that comes from wrapping tight knocked me off guard. I loosened them up quite a bit the next session got about 10-20lbs off of them. Was my first 2 sessions with wraps.
Just a note about material; I have some EFS heavy wrist wraps and the material is definitely thicker and stiffer than my Inzer Z wraps.
When you first get them, don’t wrap them too tight. The numbness is gonna knock you off your groove.
Best wraps on earth IMO are the strangulators from APT. If not, I like THPs from titan and the inzers are useful for trainign alone cause they can be wrapped decently alone without much effort.

I get more carry-over from the Grippers, but I need someone to wrap them for me. I can’t get them tight enough on my own.
Agree with APT. I have stangulators and a hybrid (strangulator/convict), love them both but they take some getting used to. I started out with the Z wraps and I think they are a good beginner wrap.
One of my training partners has a heavy wrap from Elite and he has a hard time getting the most he can out of them, for what its worth.
And lastly, if you are wrapping yourself, I wouldn’t go longer than 2.5. 3 is hard to hold onto when you are cranking down. They liked to jump out of my hands.

Ok so I’ve narrowed down to titan thps, or maybe the rhino 2.5s. Not sure which way to go.[/quote]
go thp’s so it dosnt matter what fed you want to compete in
