What is your training age?
If it is less than two years, bodypart splits are a bad idea.
Do either a full body workout 3 times per week, or upper/lower 4 times per week.

I’ve been doing gym coming up 3 years now, but have only started these past 4 months to make a real go of hitting gym hard.
i was going to gym 3 days a week Mon, Wed and Friday.
for the past 4 months ive been doing every other day.
i have to ask, why is bodypart splits bad for starting off?
You need the frequency. Body part splits generally limit you to hitting each body part once a week. As a beginner or intermediate you need to hit it more frequently.

will getting each body part twice a week, class as a better frequency,
cheers for help so far
Day 1 Chest, Bicep
Day 2 OFF
Day 3 Quads, Hams
Day 4 OFF
Day 5 Shoulder
Day 6 OFF
Day 7 Back
this training split gives space to a decent volume and gives you plenty of time to recover, don’t forget you need to rest to Grow!!
