i was wondering about the following exercises that i have been seeing more of recently, or at least become more aware of: what are the advantages of doing dumbell tricep extensions or skull crushers on a decline bench rather than a flat bench? or back supported dumbless curls on an incline bench as opposed to just standing curls?..are these exercises necessarily better than the basic ones? worth being incorporated in to my routine?
i was also wondering: is it worthwhile to do barbell shoulder presses both in front and behind the neck?
one more question, i work out back twice a week, ive began doing heavy (or whats heavy for me lol) deadlifts because i just recently became comfortable with the movement- should i do deadlifts both days? or is that too much
thank you for responses in advance

One reason is that when your arm is not perpendicular to the ground, you move the weight through more of the range of motion. That’s hard to explain in writing.

I do deadlifts on what’s primarily my posterior chain day, and three days later do squats on my primarily anterior chain day. If you have the energy to do deadlifts twice a week, do them. You may have to do different intensities, or set rep schemes.
Good luck.
