Anyone else addicted to the pain you have in your muscles the days following a workout? If I don’t feel it I feel as though I wasted my time working out. I love to feel the burn and the pain the next few days. Am I the only freak out there who longs for muscle soreness after every workout??
If I could become a muscleman without getting sore, I think I would. Since I can’t & work my ass off in the gym, I get sore. I guess it’s the lifting my ass off that I’m addicted to, not getting sore.
I feel the same way, not that I love the pain but if I don’t feel it I think “shit I must not have worked hard enough” and make sure I’m sore the next day.
Oh yes, I do feel pain all right. Especially when I do those side raises. A couple days later I’ll feel it in my shoulders. What sucks is the pain will keep me up at night. This is not a good idea, but when it happens, I take a tylenol PM. A lot of bodybuilders are addicted to Nubain for this same reason. Be careful not to go that path unless that’s your kind of thing. I know I will be careful.
I used to think that muscle soreness was good but then i realized that i was overtraining too much. A little is good but a lot will prevent the muscle from recupping in time to allow another muscle group to recupe. Remeber you are destroying and then trying to build back up. Too much soreness means that it will take longer to build back up.
Pain is weakness leaving the body, Pain is a screwed up rotator cuff from over training. Pain tells you your alive. And Pain is a pain in the ass, but we keep comming back for more. Peace.
I know this is a new question BUT here it is anyway. When I starta new routine I seem to get sore 2 days after I lift. I gain most of my size during this time. After a few workouts, I really don’t get sore anymore but I keep getting stronge. Why is that? Does anyone respond the same way?
Thanks
Drew
