Low rolling hills, a few long grinds only a couple that were steep. NOTHING like Chapel Hill… But then I started and ended at same elevation…
I have a Fuji Tourer, it’s old an school steel touring bike, 3 ring, 27 speed (ok, so not THAT old school). I’m running 700x38’s. Fairly heavy as things go today, but marvelously comfortable. I carry parts, tools, clothes and water. I hate getting breaking down on a ride and not being able to fix it.
I don’t think you should compare mountain bike speeds and distances with road bike. The upright position of a mountain bike catches a lot of wind. This really adds up as the distance rolls by, and goes up dramatically as speed increases…
I also “cheat” as much as possible. I’ve learned a lot of tricks to conserve energy and push up the average mph.
I really like the hammer strength… Nice action, independent weights for each arm.
They seem to have different models. The bench can be a bit tight in the shoulders and the handles pretty much on my chest but I figure that adds to the range of motion…
Lowered calorie is kicking my butt. HOT-ROX helps energy levels…
tried out plate loaded Hammer Strength machines… The gray ones at my usual gym are larger set no interference with arms, still tight at shoulders… Nice action

Keep posting about your experience with HOT-ROX. I’m curious.
Hey snap.
I gotta agree.
Had grand plans for Epsom salt bath last night but parenting duties got in the way…
At the gym, the pool and Jacuzzi is salt water instead of chlorine… Not quite epsom, but it sure cut the soreness. Still extra fish oil and Naproxem tonight…

Gorgeous ride, 10.5 miles, 9.6 average. Chapel Hill, hence hilly, some wind, perfect temperature…[/quote]
Sounds great. Getting out for 2 rides last week improved my mood no end. Hoping the weather’s good for my ride tomorrow.
There’s always wind on a bike, and that weird anomaly where you cycle into a headwind, then turn around and there’s STILL a headwind. Can never figure that one out!!

Hey Farmer…
A physics experiment showed that any wind more then (15 or maybe 30) some degrees off tail wind (memory fails me, but you’ll get the idea) adds resistance… SO even if 30 degrees, that is only 60 of 360 or about 1/6th of the direction. Curiously, max resistance was a straight on headwind, but offset by some degrees. Turbulence has huge drag implications…

Great work and awesome PR on the pullovers. If I could do a 500# pullover, I would love them too!
You’ve got a lot of volume in there.
As to the T levels and the doc asking if you felt aggressive, I think they are incapable of accepting someone reacting to something outside of what was in their text books. When my levels got, and stayed, at 2000. for 6 weeks, I didn’t feel any more aggression than I normally do. I did, however, feel more relaxed and had a better overall sense of well being.
If it weren’t for my skyrocketing DHT (over double the top of range) I would have liked to stay there.

Thanks for the confirmation re: levels.
I felt really good. Allergies went away… Doct dropped me to 300 iu !!! ONCE a month!!! By week 2 I couldn’t remember shit, couldn’t think, didn’t want to do anything, allergies through the roof. Fortunately had some topical left over and that restored my functionality with 4 days doses.
I KNOW this doct. has a god complex and is not opposed to stretching the truth like taffy… Looking for another one after next appointment.
When I read your log, I can’t help but be amazed at your upper body strength… Glad your wife is joining you in lifts. Gotta be a fun workout partner!
