PT says I’m good to start practicing again, but to hold off from games for the next month till I hit that 6 month mark. So thats pretty good news. Muscle size is just about the same, but my strength is definately equal.
putzyx, I’m a second time ACL reconstruction on this knee so I am a 1 year recovery instead of 6 months ![]()
My ACL was also done in Feb 17, I had a scope in Dececember, so I’m 6 months in just a few days now.
In the interim I’m applying myself fully to the sport of weightlifting ![]()
I couldn’t handle not running and messing around with a ball for a year. It was hard enough waiting for 6 months. I’ve got a brace that the Doc wants me to wear for a few months till my stamina gets back to where it needs to be, but other than that my leg is doing fine. I’m still working on the PT exercises just to keep injury from happening again.

I’m going to doctor to get my knee checked out as I have some of the symptoms of acl tear.
Two weeks ago I was squatting, at the bottom of the squat I heard a big pop but no pain. Now, the knee just feels unstable and clearly there is something wrong. Going to doc to get it checked out asap.
For the most part I’m doing good. I’ve been squatting for a couple months now. I’ve even started playing soccer again, but after a couple outings I had my knee buckle on me. So I got fitted for a brace, not something I wanted to do, but it has really given me piece of mind.
I’m working on maintaining the level of exercise involved with rehab so that future injuries wont be as likely.
