About the magazine..

Hi, i am just starting out on bodybuilding/weighttraining and i was lucky to find this site, from going to thorax’s site and seeing it being the highest rated site out of all reviews, they also have a good site. Anyways, i train at home with free weights and i was wondering when you guys create programs, that have some machine exercises, what can i do to substitute for them?? like i want to start the limping leg program, hehe is thats what its called, but i noticed some exercises i can’t do since i don’t have the exact equipment or i don’t have any spotters either, but i’m sure i can succeed without a spotter. And one more thing, is the magazine on this site, the info etc…totally different if you subscribe to the printed magazine, do i get more out of the printed versions…please tell me the truth on that
thanks to all.

Home training: You will eventually need to invest in a squat cage or join a gym. You’re seriously impeding your progress without one. My buddy just bought a Weider squat cage that came with 300lbs of weights and a bench. Came with a pull up bar, and a few attachments too. It’s not exactly “gym quality” but it’s functional and only costs him about $350 at Sam’s club. That’s a good price. Anything with a squat cage can get very expensive. Also, check my “Dawg School” columns in the previous issues section. I write about home training in one or two of them, I beleive.

Paper T-mag- The paper mag will have a lot of new material that you won’t see on the site. It will also contain updated articles. For example, the popular Fat Fast articles have been updated a little for the paper mag. There will also be new Heavy Metal, Chemical Solution, Strasseroids, Atomic Dog, Rater-X, etc. columns that won’t appear at the site. We also have a humor section in the paper mag. (Our Shawn Phillips “article” caused quite a stir.) In short, while you will see a few “best of” reprinted articles in the paper mag, it’s well worth subscribing. You still get a free T-shirt and poster, too. Hope this helps.
