What is your definition of good form? Trying to determine 1RM for bench press. Perfect form to me would be to bring the bar 1 inch from my chest then up again. Adding weight to the point where it’s only 6 in. from my chest at the sticking point. Is that my 1RM?

Thibs great plan. Perfectly designed, explanation of every phase is easy to follow. I don’t understand all these questions in this forum. Just read the file, all the answers are in the file. I’ve been training non stop for over 30 years with way to much volume and too much frequency. Everything hurts at age 55 but this workout is perfect for me. Volume is right on. Haven’t felt this great in years. Actually feel like I’m gaining again. Pretty hard after this many years. Using Mag 10, Plazma, Fin bars, Alpha Male, Resveratrol, Metabolic Drive and Superfood. People just follow the plan and bust your ass this is a great plan for natural lifters.

A post was split to a new topic: The Power Look Program with DB Bench?

Coach Thibaudeau, The Best Workout for Natural Lifters — Plan 3?? Does this exist - did I miss the release? 1 and 2 have been the best programming I have ever been on ( 62 yrs old) I’m growing muscle at this age. My shoulders and upper back /traps are somewhat a faint resemblance of the “glory years” in high school.

If nothing else rotating back through the programs has been a great refresher as I seem to have missed a bit of the recipe the first times thru.

Thank you for all the knowledge you have shared over the years. I wish more knowledgeable training was available to younger kids starting out when I did.

Take care.

My apology for a very late entry but I just discovered this post. I’m 52 and have been using the juggernaut powerbuilding programming. It has been good, but even in using the app and the grading functions I am finding to be quite rough on old joints. Does anyone on here know of or are there any programs by app on t-nation that I may switch over to and make some gains again? I’m pulling 570, squatting 495, and pressing 365 but can do more as elbows calm down. Deads are stuck, likely mechanics. Squats are simply my not really focusing on them, and weights are in lbs of course. We’re they kilos I’d be a bit on the arrogant side to be honest.
