On lower body days of “guaranteed muscle mass”, would you allow the addition of 3-5 sets of ab work at the end of a workout? Is there any reason in particular it wasn’t included?

I never include ab work. To me that’s something you can do when you roll out of bed in the morning, or at home. I’m always puzzled when I see people at the gym doing ab work TBH. It’s something you can do at home or at a truck stop in your spare time.

Totally up to you. I’ve never written a single article about ab work because for me, I just never had to do it, and never saw real benefit in my big lifts from it, despite the fact that you read that’s the case.
