WELL… the answer is… as much as I want. Fukkyeah. On the lat pulldowns AT LEAST three minutes between sets. Those are motherfukkin heavy and I don’t go for the set til I feel ready. Some days I’m in the gym two hours including my dynamic activation and everything.

And sanks T, that was a pretty good sesh… didn’t bitch out on the bis/tris like I usually do! sometimes I get near the end of the workout and its just a “yeahNO” had enough not doin anymore… kinda like tonights workout I’m about to post.

Squat mind fuck! Squat mind fuck! That walkout can just be an entire mind fuck of your head just not being used to the wt on your shoulders–> you can probably sq much more but your head says 'this is heavy! fuck this!"

You can do walk outs with more and more wt until your head gets used to it! You’ve got MAJOR power in those legs!! Or try different lift off techniques. :)[/quote]

I agree with this, doing heavy walkouts has helped me overcome that “fuck this is heavy” feeling to an extent.

TALK TO ME POWERLIFTING PEEEEPLE TALK TO ME!!! Whut do I do? Do heavier walk outs after my max set? I really don’t know if its a mindfuck I don’t know! I think I’m just really not strong!

Try it hallowed, take a weight that is heavier than what you are going to squat, say 25-50lbs heavier than your next weeks heaviest working set. Walk it out, hold in position for say 5-10 seconds and walk it back in. Try 1-2 of these sets after your heaviest set and see if it feels easier the next time you squat heavy.

You can also use the walkouts to practice your walkouts and make them more efficient and easier for your normal sets as well. I would also make sure you setup and lift off strong and tight as well first, the weight will only feel heavier if you lift off and then try to get tight.

Sank you!
I will do this!
and fuck yeah everything over 135 feels like omg this is soooooooo heavy!

I 3rd or 4th the walk out idea!

you should be close to be able to bust out some pull-ups!!

lookin fantastic!

Some people practice heavy walkouts to habituate their cns to heavier weights. After walking 200lbs, squating 150 fells easier. I’ve never done it, I’m more of a fan of pyramide workouts. If 150 feels heavy, squat 160 for a single and and drop back to 150 for a couple of reps after a good rest.

I have a suggestion on depth check. I don’t trust gym guys to accurately call depth unless they are on my team or my guy etc. Many of them are just so awestruck to see a woman squat they don’t know what to look at first and they also, often don’t know what real depth looks like.

I put a band in the rack and when my butt touched it, I know I hit depth. It isn’t like box squatting because you’re not stopping and the band allows a bit of give. It’s just a touch cue. This is a video of me over 2 1/2 years ago with horrible lean but you can see the band and what I’m talking about.

Hmm, maybe some walk outs would help me, come to think of it. My squat is pretty pathetic in the PW scheme of things but I’m working on it.

“wants a better camera”

lol

damn, girl.

just damn.

ya’know?
