Hallowed, you’re going to get me to post a training log here and I’m gonna hafta blame you for it …

On that volume thing: I think it’s going to bite you but I’ll shut up about that soon. Though I won’t promise for how long.

Edit: and I mention it just 'coz I’ve tended to go there myself. And have the weekends lost to sleep to prove it.

What’s your thinking on BB training? I have to say it’s not how I train and I don’t really relate to it. Might help if someone could talk me through it.

As I said before: I try to pick 2-3 movements, and maybe a set of curls/tricep stuff, on a given workout. If there are variants or different points I want to focus on, I’ll split them out. So, one cycle of 5/3/1, I’ll do lunges with squats, the next I’ll do step-ups. I do dips with chins, CG bench with bench press. I’ve swapped in rack pulls for GMs on deadlift day (I still do GMs with squats) because my sticking point is on lock-out. Stuff like that.

OK, bedtime. Headed down to your end of the bay tomorrow. Fucking south-bay traffic …

Get it GURL!!!

That’s fantastic! Keep going!

Is this your first cycle of 5/3/1?

Good job on the bench PR! =]

ooooh solly for you! I only have about a ten mile commute which is like two freeway exits so I get out of most traffic yay me. THE VOLUME is alot I freely admit and I will just have to see how well/how long I can handle it.

As far as the BB approach… Man I am SO NOT an expert on this! Its not that strength training and size training are incompatable at all, they’re NOT but making that switch from PL to BB there are always certain muscles that need major work to catch up. I know Tris is one. I know there are some threads on this too that might be interesting. The calculator that Print recommended to me that I use at blackironbeast.com has an option for choosing accessory work. One of the choices on there is bodybuilder (then it says from men’s fitness scarly LULZ) it puts this as the accessory work:

MILITARY PRESS: Barbell Upright Row, DB Military Press, Bentover DB Raise, DB Curl
DEADLIFT: Chinup, DB Row, Back Extensions, AB Wheel Rollout
BENCHPRESS: DB Bench Press, Dip, DB Flies, Tricep Pushdown
SQUAT: Legg Press, Leg Extension, Leg Curls, Situp

INTERESTING! Also K I really DO think you should start a log! FUR SURE.

I know. I am hanging my head in shame. Only been really post-posting on here for under a week sooooo I am taking baby steps. I did post three pictures on my profile so at least you can see I am not a man.

Seriously though, … I am about to go on vacation for a week and I am going to eat like crap. I think upon returning I’ll gear up and start a log. I’ve been looking at everyone elses and I think it would be fabulous motivation. Would LOVE to start Indigo but not sure if the husband will be down with all that. Lots of women seem to be getting on it so we’ll see! Thanks for the encouragement on starting one, though!

You look great just how I pictured you. Not Fat.
Start a log when you get back for realsy and you don’t need indigo that shits damn expensive. I could buy like four pairs a jeans a month for that price!

Shmanks Lady I’m hella stoked! Tried to get a pic of my pump this is the best I could get. I’m holding my arm AWAY from my body here nuts. NOT A GLAMOUR shot solly but hey, Hallowed is always the glamorous.

Sorry if I missed it, but what does your diet consist of? anything special?

[quote]JLO73 wrote:

Nothing Special. When I’m dieting its about 1500-1800 cals per day. usually something like

1: eight egg whites scoop protein powder
2: 85g meat opt veg 50g carbs
3: 85g meat opt veg 50g carbs some fat like full fat cheese
4: 85g meat opt veg some fat like full fat cheese
5: 85g meat opt veg
6: 125g fage or cottage cheese 1/2 scoop protein powder 20g almond butter

On lifting days PWO carbs 250cals or less and 35g carbs or less and whey protein shake. pretty boring! SOrry thats way basic up there. When I actually start watching what I eat again I will post some real meals. Right now I’m eating bars shakes meat almond butter yogurt not really watching it at all but its about 2k a day.

Great job, H!

Btw, I don’t think you can have bad lighting…

Congrats on that bench pr. Love the Wendler pic.

Edited to add: And all the pics of you. Seriously, you are incredibly photogenetic. I’m jealous.
