great job on those deadsies!!! I think we have the SAME socks!
I think thats why there’s alot of devildriver hate in the metal world… coal chamber… and yeah its Dez the singer. I really DO LIKE de ildrivers studio work… for the love of god DO NOT ever see them live. Heinosity! One of the worst live shows I’ve been to and thats saying something.

I love DL socks! Has lots of pairs but no over the knee ones like I remember you having (so hawt!)

So…

If I get DL socks like that, I will improve?

That’s quite a bit of volume. Also, nice socks. I train in my VFFs so I don’t wear socks any more. Having said that, I did pull a calf deadlifting once so it may not be a bad idea.

Leg Press/Extension superset = quad pump of deth?

Will these socks work?

I just got them today.

Your future work will thank you for leaving those reps in the tank. I’m just a prophet of the most high Mr. Wendler in that regard though. grin

Ten hours of sleep makes me hate you. Not really, but sort of. God sleep is awesome.

That’s a LOT of volume on auxiliary work, Hallowed.

I usually stick to 2-3 movements, and I’ll generally superset/giant set them for 3-5 sets (depending on time and energy levels). I focus on my back (chins or rows), which isn’t included in 5/3/1, and weak points for my lifts.

For presses, that’s generally triceps, so my press aux work is chins and dips, then a few sets of power cleans / cleans and presses.

Read Wendler’s commentary on auxilary work. Remember it’s the main lifts that matter, so put the time and effort in there.

I find if I overdo the aux work, I get really tired especially toward the end of a 5/3/1 cycle. This past cycle I limited the aux work, and dialed it back (both resistance and reps) on my de-load week (just finished). I also skipped progression my last cycle (re-did same weights as the previous cycle), and watched my reps shoot up for all lifts.

You can compute 1RM at ExRx, or there’s the LiftPro app for Android which has a 1RM calculator (I’ve taken to plugging those in when I’m at the gym).

Starting my 3rd cycle tomorrow.

It is kind of a lot of volume but I can’t say anything cause I like a lot of volume too

I am super jelly of your hamstring development.
Teach me your ways

Hella! Thank god my life the twp machines are far apart… I know the superset was originally/written to have them with almost no rest in between but fuck that I can barely walk if I hit that set really heavy! Like, shaking legs mega pump errything.

It IS. Its ALOT. It is not more volume than I was doing before though. Also I know this is a PL program but what I do is BB so giving up the aux won’t make sense for my goals. A reduction though really might! I’ve known some of the BB stuff would probably have to go at some point. I’ll keep your advice here in mind when I choose what stays. And yay you’re here hieeeeeeeee!

It depends what I can do that day yanno!
this week is max week so no cal def and as much sleep as humanly possible.
this program doesn’t like too much calorie deficit I’ve notice that for sure!

HAVE I POSTED THIS JON PALL PIC? Sooooo AWESOME and how I felt when I couldn’t Deadlift LULZ

DDASH I’m one hundred percent aure that comment is for Brutiful’s log Ima let you edit it <3

OMG such a good hair day today!
yayeee.

Very nice hair indeed.

Yeah, not being able to deadlift sucks. I’ve really just started deadlifting again these past few months due to some back issues and am nowhere near where I was a few years ago, but I’m sure I’ll get there (if my body doesn’t crap out on me again).
Hallowed wrote:

Looks to be a good everything day.

Holy frak!! I want your body! Like seriously, I want it!! You have THE TINIEST waist. Sigh. You’re so lovely, Hallie.

Nice DL day!!

Can’t speak to auxiliary work. I like it more than main lifts sometimes!

I think my actual injury lasted eight weeks of no deadlifting no rowing (I still don’t do DB rows) then my uber complaining babiness extended until… well its STILL happening cuz my pulls aren’t back where they used to be LULZ. I can only LULZ at myself tis ridic! You WILL get there and as I was pep talked at the time of my injury “its part of the game, you’ll work around it and come back stronger than ever” it helps when someone else says it instead of just the voice in the head.
