“If a bunch of women put together a list of desirable men, I wouldn’t start lobbying to be put on the list. That would be pathetic…”
Seriously, who friggin cares what the definition of a t-vixen is? If you need a website to pump up your self esteem, or somehow feel slighted that guys want to check out pictures of women that may or may not participate in your preferred exercise activity, you probably aren’t a T anything.
I?m trying to imagine a website for something besides weightlifting, say, mountain climbing, and some women writes in because a guy likes pictures of women that don?t mountain climb. “But she doesn?t mountain climb, how can you like her butt?!?!?! You mean the special name mountain-vixen doesn’t just apply to me?”
It’s an opinion article, get over it already. Of course if you had the words t-vixen tattooed to your ass, I could see how this might present a problem, but besides that, I don’t think it’s worth writing to the editor and getting worked up over.
Every once in a while you gotta stir things up…this article did that very well. Now I can see a point where not every T-man is not necessarily attractive…but we all damn well bust our asses, day in and day out, and somehow and for some reason would take it personal if someone called us a pansy or questioned our integrity of T-man-hood hehe. Any woman who has the pride to stand up for this site and the information, and trains right up there with T-men is a T-woman. Save the T-vixens for the air filled breasts/brains of the most divine in the appearance category, and this is TESTOSTERONE MAGAZINE…our balls do tell us who is a T-vixen, but just cause its a cute name doesnt mean you have be a VIXEN…just like we dont have to be T-Studs or T-HUNGLIKEHORSES . I have plenty of girl friends who dont really work out that much but when they see a great lookin , just hot girl, they say shit id hit that. They are the ones i love, and wish to have offspring with haha jk. So i personally think we should have a shift in to T-woman, for the hardcore woman, regardless of how pretty you are or think you are…( most guys think they are better looking then they are too hehe.) and to those who dont give a flying FUNK! and just want to get a nice T-man to have the best sex ever ROCK ON…and consider though self a T -woman.
What is a T-Vixen?
Well for one it’s a woman who doesn’t bitch about this kind of article.
Men like hot women, and yes they like them more than ugly women. The same is true for women’s relations with men, although possibly to a lesser degree.
Now hotness is not the only thing to enter the equation of a “quality female”, but when dealing with people you don’t know personally that is pretty much the only fucking thing you have to go by.
Is physical attraction the most important factor in overall attraction? I propose that it is, at least some of the time. Of course there is a huge difference in whether the relationship in question is supposed to last for 60 years or 3 hours.
In both cases personality will play a part, but obviously less so with the one night stand.
If we are talking about life partners here I don’t think anyone would willingly settle for anything. You rarely see smoking hot people with a total dog for a husband/wife, and there is a reason for this. Likewise, (IMO) you rarely see people with totally incompatible personalities living happily ever after.
Long story short (and leaving out some of the incoherent babbling): Articles about stuff like this can’t easily address any other quality than looks.
My own definition of T-Vixen doesn’t really exist, but I think that any woman that I’d find acceptable for any sort of long term thing would entail most of the qualities you are all so afraid we forgot to appreciate in you. Like having more depth than the typical “bimbo”, and being assertive etc. She wouldn’t have to train with weights, but people who are generally active seem to be more likely to be quality people. But looks are important as well. Nothing I’m proud, nor ashamed, of, it’s just the way it is.
Couldn’t agree more with Agathos and Anderson. Everyone is way too uptight on this board. Yes, I find the victoria secret models very attractive and would like to bang all of them. I also have seen the women on this board (with muscles) and would like to bang them too. And I don’t care if you don’t want to hear that and don’t want any man ogling you. As a man, I am attracted to women and I will always have strong sexual desires to any woman I deem attractive that happens to have muscles, or no muscles a la victoria secret, with fake boobs, with real boobs, or whose black, white, red, green, etc. I’ve been reading this magazine and been involved in these forums for awhile now. TC is writing how he always writes. Why are the women (and men for godsakes) so damn hypersensitive to an article like this? If women started a thread about the definition of a t-man being a fat blob with no IQ, I wouldn’t get all upset how that is not me. My self-esteem is not that fragile. And btw, Colin Cancer is an idiot in my opinion. You spew out a lot of trash on these forums.
"f women started a thread about the definition of a t-man being a fat blob with no IQ, I wouldn’t get all upset how that is not me. My self-esteem is not that fragile. "
LMAO. Yeah, if women made a thread about mentally retarded, handicapped, acned beggars being attractive, I wouldn’t feel slighted at all because I’m none of those things.
disclaimer i am not a TC Luoma-ite, Tim Patterson-ite, or Chris Shugart-ite.
the article, another good one, as are most of the atomic dogs. that said, i may not agree with every little thing that TC pens or thinks or whatever, but i’d say we’d see eye to eye on most things. i was thrown by the first few paragraphs of the article but when i got into it i knew what TC was getting across. and again, as per the Atomic Dog disclaimer before each article, it did it’s job.
here’s the thing. TC, Tim, Chris and all the contributing writers (forgive me for not naming them all) do us all a great service by publishing this magazine and forum with no expense to us as readers. get mad if you want, complain if you want, but at the end of the day these guys are saving us time (i don’t have time to search pubmed for the articles i need every week much less compile them and translate their meanings) and helping us achieve and surpass our goals. argue with that.
sure TC’s articles may rub you the wrong way, they may rub me the wrong way, but nobody’s perfect and you can’t please everyone. TC and the rest of the T-mag staff is attempting to do neither. keep it real…and keep it hardcore.
I can see quite a shit-storm brewing here. GOOD JOB TC. I loved the article and thought the joke was pretty funny too. BTW John your’s wasn’t bad either. I really can’t understand how after last weeks article on 30 things women don’t know about men any of this weeks article comes as a surprise. I won’t get into a huge discussion on what is or isn’t a T-vixen because it’s already been laid out in print, if your mind and/or body makes or dicks hard you fit the description. As for those men on this forum who think that is “disgusting” perhaps it’s time to go to the doctor and see if you have “chronic vaginisitus”. Please do so soon otherwise you run the risk of becoming a complete PUSSY!
Thanks TC for once again (unlike most people) not acting like a bitch and giving the raw uncut. TC is not P.C. Deal with it.
A number of people here are accusing some of being too sensitive because they felt this weeks atomic was’nt all that good. You could make the same arguement that TC was being a little over sensative to a “semi-irate” letter from MD. Personally I did’nt get that sense from MD’s letter at all, I thought she was just expressing her feelings of disagreement on what a t-vixen was.I thought that was cool here, or are many of you just too tied to the cult of t-nation that you dare not express an opinion contrary to the editors. I’m sure TC does’nt have a problem with a few people disagreeing with him, but many of you have been pretty sensitive in his defense. I’ve read every atomic dog written since the beginning and for the most part I usually agree with the opinions expressed, find them funny and enjoy them very much. I just did’n happen to find this weeks AD funny or agree with the content, plain and simple. I’m not PC, I’m not trying to “gain the respect of the ladies on the board”, I just did’nt think it was that good…no biggie.
While I agree that Colin Cancer comes of as an idiot a majority of the time we have to take it in context. I’m sure his codependant inner child got his minature testicles twisted up in his snoopy tighty whiteys at some point. The resulting PTSD from that lingers on to this very day and gives him a sour outlook on things, especially anything remotely sexual in nature.
My view, as irrelevant as it is to anyone else, pretty well follows Pagan5’s.
I saw part of VS before I clicked over to that lame bachelor show then clicked off and went to bed. Earlier in the week I saw Tyra Banks and some other models on some morning show while I was drinking my coffee and pulling on my shoes before work. The difference was very noticeable. First, Tyra has put on a few pound and looks hotter than she ever did. Second the chicks on the morning show included one with awesome quads. They had a little sweep and a tad of separation above the knee…not like the tubular limbs most runway models have. I was disappoointed that the VS show had nothing like that on stage. Most of the chicks on the VS show couldn’t walk in the clunky shoes they had to wear. Overly skinny chicks trying to do the runway walk with bricks on their feet made them look like the aliens in the last scene of Close Encounters trying to disco on acid. I’d be afraid of breaking a girl like that if I tried to fuck her…no thanks.
Everyone’s taste varies. One fact about fashion shows, the models, the clothes, and everything about it that often gets overlooked is that the fashion industry is dominated by gay men, not that there’s anything wrong with that. It’s just that men that don’t exactly love women in the way we hetero guys do tend to set them up to look better to their tastes.
Agathos, I have no idea who you are. Quite frankly, the only time I’m even aware of your general presence is by the very few times I catch a post or two of yours here in this forum.
I have no clue why you even would say I am insecure; it’s quite the opposite. I’ve never felt the need to walk around with a tagline, “vixen” or otherwise that was developed for a faceless internet forum. A forum that I have been spending less and less time on. The reasons for that is quite evident in this thread. Take a gooooood look at any of my previous posts; in none of those have I been so presumptious as to title myself as some “T-Vixen”. Now, I see why.
I’ve always had some inkling that it really was a title used for anyone that wore high heels and short skirts. In other words, a title that can go to pretty much anybody that’s female. Well, I like to consider myself as not just anybody, so why would I even think of myself as some “Vixen”. Pretty laughable, really.
And you know, I’m too busy trying to get my 300+ dead into the 400’s and my bench into the 200’s to even bother with alot of this crap that’s appearing in these forums. That’s the purpose of the AD. To attract more into here and into the Store; no matter what their I.Q. levels. I see it’s done it’s job.
Kudos to you, TC. Bravo. Bravo.
BTW: You folks want a Women’s Forum? Hey, I say go for it. And why don’t you “tack” that AD right at the top of the page - perfect way to attract more women to this forum.
wideguy: I wrote that post before yours even came up, so it was’nt in response to anything you wrote, and so, no I have’nt been following you. I guess you have a pretty strong sense of self importance to think that post was directed at you. Good for you. BTW thanks for proving my point about the over sensativity issue with the “fuck you” comment. Hope it made you feel more like a “t-man” to get that out.
I was taking up for you! Read my post over! Look, I thought it was a great article, but felt bad, and was surprised that someone like yourself was so freaked out by one of TC’s articles!? You’ve got nothing but respect from myself and others, if my post sounded as if I was attacking you let me explain that it was more presented out of confusion and surprise.
Am I mistaken? Weren’t you favored a lot by tmag? Didn’t they feature you in seveal articles? Now your sitting here trashing TC and the mag!? Over one little blurb of an article!? WTF!?
Wow! Wait a single DAY to read the update and look at what you miss!
Hrmmm…
Patricia:
Gotta agree with some of the other comments, you’re a TVixen, and you shouldn’t let this little 'ol article from TC get ya so riled up! Right now I have to go and bury my head in shame at my dl pounds compared to yours.
I am in favor of what TC said. I enjoy his humor while at times some do not, like yourself appparently. Now this may come as a shocker but in my last post I was using sarcasim. Sometimes TC uses it too, as well as many other members of the board. Often oversensitive (less intelligent?) people like yourself misinterpret it for something else. I don’t think you were following me. I don’t think your post was directed at me. I’m not part of a cult. However, Magnus Fuck You…now I do feel like more of a “T-man”, BTW thats a capital T I don’t want anyone around here thinking I have a lowercase t now. Hahahaha, moron.
