x2 on what DD said. I don’t like the JM press personally, unless I can find a way to do it without it pissing off my elbow
hah, I do it because it doesn’t piss off my elbow.
Yeah? Maybe I’ll try them again sometime, I could have been doing them wrong I guess.

70 x 20
80 x 20
90 x 20
100 x 15
110 x 13
Decline Press (bb style as opposed to monday - elbows flared, no lockout, all tension on chest)
135 x 20
185 x 20
225 x 20
275 x 13 (no spotter - cut it before failure)
135 w/pause x 30

with all of that volume are you just having the most wicked awesome gnar gnar chesticle pumps or what? I bet those sets of 20 get the blood flowing the salmon of Capistrano?

I know there is no strict way to do the JM press, but for me lowering the bar more towards my neck and letting the upper arm tilt a bit more gets my tris a lot better, but you have to back way off the weight.
This is how I was taught. But I struggle with making this one seamless motion like in the video. I tend to come down and then back. Doesn’t quite feel intuitive to me yet.

Are you still drunk?
Rough day, long week caught up with me. Felt flat, briefs were loose, but definitely had some silver lining. I didnt miss any lifts, and the comradeship between true lifters is awesome. BIG TIME voluntarily spotted me by himself behind me, the other guy went ahead and instead of doin his own stuff came over to psych me up and get me pumped up cause he knew my trainin was sucking. Left it all on the court with squats, had no energy for anything else really. Lookin forward to better work next time.

Two weeks is up, time to work back into heavy flat bench. Used monster minis today to do reverse band, shoulder felt great the whole time. Doing these with the monster minis rather than the average bands felt great, had to work harder the whole way through and they were pretty much deloaded at lockout. LWI.
Warm ups
SR
Fly Machine
3 x 20
Reverse Band w/monster minis
135 x 5
225 x 5
bands added
275 x 5
335 x 3
385 x 3
405 x 3
435 x 2 (video - including BIGTIME rocking the most pimpingest pants ever)
475 x 1 (video)
HS Incline w/mini bands (alternating close neutral and wide grip)
4tp x 6 x 12-15
6tp (without bands) x 2 x 12
Seated Lateral Raises
3 x 15
Seated DB Press
60 x 15
70 x 13
Rope Pushdown
8 x 10
Meadow Kickbacks (I almost feel bad typing “kickback”)
3 x 12 (burned bad)
I’ll try doing these with the mini’s next time maybe. The strong bands felt like they helped a lot, but hey, deloaded at lockout is deloaded at lockout. LWI man.
Oh, and BIG TIME has THE most pimpenest pants around man! WITH bball shorts over the top of 'em. Straight gangster. Can he come with you to LWI WC?
Lets take a vote - should I get some pants like that?
There is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
Deadlift - Coan Week 5
Had an afternoon final today (Contracts II) and crashed afterwards. Made it into the gym late, had to cut some of this short to fit it all in. Including warmups this was all done in bout an hour and a few minutes. Hit a good PR as well, 600 is close, I can feel it.
